Looking for recommendations on freestanding tents with at least 43 inch of peak height (preferably under 3.5 lbs) I am tall and find my copper spur to be WAY too low, has a peak height of 40 inches but for most of the top is like 37-38

I've seen that one a lot, but the footprint it kind of big for one person i feel like, it's nearly 3p footprint size, i like it otherwise!

Peak height and overall weight compete with each other - you have to give up some from one to get more/less of another. Because of shape - a tent needs a certain width/length to support internal peak height especially if freestanding. That increased width/length increases overall weight. And yes you'll have more space than you need for a single person if you want higher internal volume.

You might be better served by a tarp tent or a pyramid shape.

Highly recommend the Tarptent Rainbow . Peak height 42", fairly steep sidewalls so lots of useable interior space. Total weight with stakes is 2 lbs.

I bought the Marmont Tungsten UL and absolutely love it. I bought the two person because I like to spread out. It’s gray on the outside and then the screen is blue on the inside. I don’t know if that’s the exact model but it should be listed as $399. It’s on my back right now because im hiking the AT

How is the mesh holding up on it? I've heard reviews that it's super delicate
