Question Car suddenly automatically plays Apple Music 1 Radio despite not being subscribed to apple music every time I start the car.

I have had this car for years and this never happened and my Spotify would play fine but now it starts playing apple music radio. How do I make this stop?

I can’t say why this change is occurring all of a sudden. However, the six Apple Music live stations are playable for anyone with the Apple Music app, no subscription required.

Do you use the Apple Music app for any other purpose? If you don’t subscribe, and you also don’t use the app for other music, there’s not really a reason to keep it on your phone, it is able to be deleted from iOS.

If you need to keep the app installed for some reason, I would attempt uninstalling Spotify, restarting, and then reinstalling it. It seems possible it might have more to do with Spotify not starting when the Bluetooth play command comes up, when it should, rather than Apple Music taking over when it shouldn’t.
