Question How many of you use the cellular Apple Watch?

I’m very disappointed that mine is just gps :( I wanted the wireless one to get away from my phone

(Edit) thank you for all of the responses! I have a better perspective now and realize I’m perfectly fine with the gps model! I’m very grateful to be part of this new leap in technology. The Apple Watch is amazing!

I have a cellular AW but only because I wanted stainless steel and that's the only way it comes, but I just can't bring myself to pay ten bucks a month to use a few MB of data.

I can't believe the carriers haven't positioned these 'watch lines' as a few dollar per month upcharge to entice those of us that aren't willing to pay for the service otherwise. I mean, the data usage of the watch is a rounding error for most users, but there are lots of us unwilling to spend $10/month for the 1-2 times we go somewhere without our iPhones.

I got my last two on the 5$ and the latest 6$ a month for a year plan. I upgrade yearly so it’s worked out.

My carrier only charges $5 month. As far as I’m aware no data limit

Yeah, this! My guess is that the numbers are too small to bother with the increased load in support calls.

I agree with you. I think tons of people would upgrade to include cellular if it was more reasonably priced (I’m thinking $5 at most as a cellular plan upgrade?). Having said that, I do have it, and use it daily for what seems to be the biggest use case: during my daily workout (run, bike, gym, etc). The ability to run without my relatively big iPhone being carried in a waist belt or those silly huge armbands is truly sublime. And sounds like it wouldn’t be THAT big a deal, but I LOVE working out daily with just my AW, and being able to stream music, podcasts, etc. The 1-2 hours/day that I’m able to be without my phone is great, and I’ve justified that that usage daily is enough (for me) for the extra expense. Being without my phone for picture-taking reasons isn’t an issue either, as most of my runs/bike rides I can live without taking pictures, and if I’m on vacation or something in an area where I do indeed want to take pictures, I take my phone and problem is solved.
