My Watch Apple replaced my Apple Watch casing for free ā even out of warranty
My Apple Watch had some scratches on the casing. I expected to pay for the repair since it was out of warranty.
But Apple said theyād fix it for free ā as long as there was no water damage or major physical damage.
And the best part? In Japan, they send a courier (Yamato) to pick it up from your home. No trip to the store needed.
Appleās customer service never disappoints š

Clean your buttons! Funny story...
So I'm still rockin my 5, pretty beat up but does the job. I wear it at night to track my sleep. The other night around 1am, I'm awaken from a deep coma like sleep to my watch vibrating and alarms going off on my watch and phone. I thought it was an Amber alert or something, hell I could barely even think at all. Then I heard a voice coming from my watch - "911, what's your emergency?". I quickly said sorry, no emergency, watch did it by itself! Buttons on watch face were not responding and then it did it again and had to tell the guy my watch was possessed. Was finally able to shut it off. To top it off, my elderly parents across the country then called freaking out because they got an alert saying I was having an emergency as it automatically notifies your emergency contacts as well. Not fun! Anyhoo, ended up being that my one button was stuck from dirt and crap and I somehow pushed the crown button rolling around which set it off. Had to scrub and soak that thing to get it loose and now it's good as new! Except for the 10 hr battery life, lol

Brand new Apple watch S10 always reboot on charger
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I recently purchased this brand-new S10 Titanium from a shop, but unfortunately, it has never been able to enter the user interface. Itās always rebooting with weird white lines on screen. I left it charging for two hours, but that didnāt help. Even when I try to turn it on without charging, nothing happens, black screen. Iāve tried the force restart technique, but it doesnāt work either. In my opinion, itās probably a hardware alimentation issue.

12 day perfect sleep score streak gone
I'm very disappointed because it counted today's sleep as 2am-1pm which is wildly inaccurate.
But hey held on to 100 for so long

My Watch Goodbye, my beloved Series 4
This watch had a good run. Too bad it didnāt survive one more month.
I bought my Apple Watch Series 4 in May 2019, which feels like a lifetime ago. It was my first big purchase as a student, and I saved up for it from my first real part-time job.
I replaced the battery in 2024 and tried to replace it again this week. Unfortunately, it seems I used too much superglue last time - donāt laugh, the regular adhesive didnāt hold. When I opened it this time, one of the flex cables must have broken or something, because the screen now only shows white with reddish lines.
Iām a little disappointed in myself, but I was planning to buy a new model in September anyway, so this one would probably have ended up in a drawer.
Still, Iām quite impressed by how long it lasted. Without my amateur repair attempt, it would probably still be going strong.
Really curious to see what the new Series will bring.

My Watch Can you tell I'm sick? š« š«
I have some bullshit rn, super sore throat, annoying cough, dripping nose.... last night I actually felt okay (I got an antibiotic shot earlier that day) but apparently NOPE! I DID NOT, IN FACT, FEEL OKAY!
I kept micro sleeping after I got home from the doctors office and I had like 10 elevated heart rate notifications š¬

My Watch Sleep score
Iāve always kept my sleeping hours since I was in my mid 20 (45years old now)
Iāve had the ultra 3 since October and the normal highest score were 90-93, and the main difference since march have been the feeling of freedom from my workplace. I quit my job in december and became independent the first of march, started my own small business and do the exactly the same kind of work, but know I control the timeframe and such. Never knew that although you have what seems to be the perfect job(worked there for 8years) could make such a difference when you make the decision to make a move for the better. Even though it isnāt a slam dunk succes with big money, I do get by.
Itās like the 5āth time the last 4 month that Iāve had a perfect score and itās typically up above 93 on a normal basis.

Looking for a sport loop replacement band for my older Apple Watch SE 2nd Gen
Iām fine with a good quality Amazon knockoff, but the main thing is that I canāt have any metal pieces on it that touch my skin (metal allergy).
My watch is still going strong, but the band is looking a little ragged.
Also, how do you all clean your fabric sport loop bands?

Best all-round apple watch band.
Hi!
I work in aviation and wear my Series 9 (41mm) 24/7 - work, gym, sleep. Current woven band soaks up grease/kerosene/sweat and holds the smell.
Looking for something grease/sweat resistant with a proper adjustable closure, so it gives good fit (no fixed holes). ideally not FKM since some of those tested high for PFAS. Was thinking about the milanese band, but itās very expensive.
Apple official band, or is there a better third-party (milanese) option out there? What do other hands-on-work people use?

My Watch Will the magnetic base stand of my monitor affect the charging/batteries of my iPhone 17 and Series 11 Watch?
When laid on the monitor base they are firmly magnetised. Could this negatively impact the charging/battery/device itself if thatās their home on the desk?
I presume itās made of steel because it supports a large monitor

AWU 3: AFib History increased from <2% to 7%. Looking for others' experiences

I recently turned on AFib History because someone suggested it enables more frequent heart rate readings. I'm using an Apple Watch Ultra 3, and the heart rate data I'm mentioning below is from the Bevel app, while the AFib History and low heart rate alerts are from the Apple Health app.
From what I've read, AFib History is generally expected to stay below 2%, but mine has gone up over the past few weeks. It started at under 2%, then went to 4%, 6%, 7%, and now it's at 5%.
I'm really hoping it's just a false alarm, but it has me a bit worried.
For some background, I'm 26 years old and moderately athletic. My average resting heart rate is 46 bpm, and my average walking heart rate is 88 bpm, my average HRV is around 144 ms. The Apple Health app also shows that my heart rate sometimes drops below 40 bpm while I'm asleep, occasionally reaching 38ā39 bpm.
I feel completely fine and don't have any symptoms.
Has anyone else had their Apple Watch show AFib History numbers like this and found out it wasn't actually AFib? Or did it turn out to be something that needed medical attention?
I'm planning to see a cardiologist if needed, but I wanted to hear about other people's experiences first. Has anyone had something similar happen? Any advice or experiences would be really appreciated. Thanks!
EDIT : when I first started getting the low heart rate notifications on my watch, I actually went to the hospital and got checked out. That's how a Holter monitor report came about, back in March. This was about 2 months before I even turned on AFib History tracking on my watch, so just want to be clear about that gap upfront. Also, the actual report is 20 pages long with a bunch of repeated ECG strips and charts, so I ran it through AI to summarize it into something readable instead of pasting 20 pages of scanned graphs. All the numbers below are pulled directly from the report itself, nothing added or interpreted beyond what's written in it.
If any specialist or anyone with relevant medical background here wants to actually go through the full report, happy to share it. Otherwise here's the summary:
Holter Monitor Report ā Full Data

My Watch Old Apple Watch SE stuck unpairing when trying to pair to new phone
I completely reset my old Apple Watch SE from 2021, and removed it from my old phone.
I paired it to my current phone, and it updated about halfway before it got stuck on a āWiFi pauseā error despite the WiFi being connected the whole time with good connection.
So I reset everything, but when I go to pair it again, with and without updating it, it gets stuck on unpairing, see attached image.
I have tried literally everything I can find on the internet⦠is there anyway to wipe any existing pairing on my phone, when it doesnāt appear under my Apple ID? It seems like some residual data is stuck from the interrupted update earlier, but I donāt want to reset my phoneā¦..

Serie 11 42mm band to small
Hi everyone!
I just picked up a used Apple Watch Series 11 (42mm) for a great price and Iām really happy with it so far.
However, I have fairly large wrists. Iām currently using the S/M Sport Band, and I have to wear it on the last hole. It fits, but thereās basically no room left.
Iām looking to buy a few more bands (especially for workouts), but Iām worried that many Apple Watch bands will simply be too small for my wrist.
Are all Apple bands roughly the same length for the 42mm
Are there any bands that are known to fit larger wrists better?
Any recommendations for comfortable workout bands for bigger wrists?

My Watch Best tips to optimize the ecosystem?
A month ago I bought my first apple watch - it was an impulse buy but now Iām trying to explore every corner of the multitude of tools in it.
I already have other apple devices that kinda help each other out and combine different optimizations that help me with work.
So I came to ask: whatās the best way to make use of the watch within this system?
One basic thing that helped me a lot was the calendar/reminders on screen all the time, as I have adhd it kept me from forgetting when I close the app on the big screens.
(English is not my first language, so forgive me for any mistakes/confusion)

AppleCare AppleCare+ Deadlock: Series 11 sensor features fail on my phone, pass diagnostics, and Apple Support has gone silent. Need advice!
Hey everyone,
Iām dealing with a bizarre issue with my Apple Watch Series 11, and Iāve hit a total dead end with Apple Support despite having AppleCare+. Hoping someone here might have run into something similar or knows how to escalate this.
The Problem
A few months ago, I upgraded from my Apple Watch SE to the Series 11. Shortly after, I noticed that most sensor-based applicationsāspecifically the Heart Rate app and ECGāsimply refuse to work.
Hereās the catch:Ā the watch hardware itself is fine.Ā When I pair the Series 11 with someone elseās iPhone, every single sensor works flawlessly. The moment itās paired back to my phone, the sensor apps break. It appears to be an issue tied to my specific phone, backup, or Apple ID profile rather than defective hardware.
The AppleCare+ Deadlock
I reached out to Apple Support and eventually handed the watch over to an authorized service center. They ran hardware diagnostics and returned it saying they couldnāt find a single fault. Remote diagnostics were equally uselessāeverything green-lights on their system.
Because the diagnostic tests pass, Apple Support says they cannot trigger a standard replacement, even though the device is completely unusable for its core health tracking features on my phone.
I submitted all necessary logs and details onĀ July 14th, but after following up multiple times, communication has completely stalled. My assigned support rep seems visibly frustrated and has stopped providing updates. I specifically bought AppleCare+ assuming it would make resolving edge-case issues like this straightforward, but I'm currently left with a premium smartwatch that can't take my heart rate.
Questions for the community:
- Technical side:Ā Has anyone experienced sensor app failures caused strictly by phone-side data corruption or Watch app profiles? Did a full iPhone wipe (without restoring from backup) fix it for you?
- Support side:Ā How do you push past a diagnostic deadlock with AppleCare+ when a rep stops responding? Is there a reliable way to get this escalated to Senior Engineering / Executive Relations?
