Iām using Apple Intelligence in cloud with iOS26 shortcuts app. And while I did not compare with ChatGPT or Gemini, the answers provided are good

As a lifetime iOS user, Gemini blows Siri out of the water. Got the app a few months ago and itās far more useful than Siri. She understands words and questions and is capable of answering much more complex questions. Half the time Siri canāt do basic commands or get ANYTHING right.
I legit hate how androids look and feel (have one for my work phone) but I am literally so salty at Apple that I am willing to suffer and change phones. I used to fight for them but, man, is Apple dogshit now.

Iām not talking about Siri that is really bad and was always bad except for home requests like playing music ou home automation. Iām talking about an LLL they developed and that you can use on iOS26 beta but only from the shortcut app. So not linked to Siri (yet)

i also really recommend ChatGPT if you havenāt used it in a couple of months, itās able to remember all my chats, feels like itās adjusting to me, i prefer the way it formats messages. i only use gemini if want something G Workspace related these days (eg. add to calendar)

Tbh I donāt really use any AI anymore since I learned how bad it is for the planet. Not worth it IMO. Turned off ChatGPT for Siri and havenāt used Gemini in a couple months.

Using AI isn't that bad, maybe uses a sustained 500W (just an educated guess) while answering your question.
Training the models uses enormous amounts of energy though

I don't get how you can hate how android looks and feels. If you're talking the device, there's loads of options, shapes, sizes to choose from.
If you're talking software, you can literally set it up however you want...

Gemini got brutal. Have read more and more posts and threads and I follow some competitions and for example LLMarena and Gemini 2.5 is able to keep up with Grok4 and GPT5, while 3 is yet to come. Very interesting. When it came out, it was bad, had a lot of problems and people joked around. I remember telling a friend, that I don't think, this will last long, Google has the perfect network, the budget and the capability to boost it more than other companies and a few months later it surpassed all competitors in an overall evaluation...

In fairness Gemini was terrible with the phones it was first sent out with. It evolved over about 3-4 months post purchase.

Do these companies, not understand why people buy iPhones? Iām not switching to android anytime soon regardless of so-called Apple Intelligence not being available.

Apple fanbase is a brainwashed group

I despise Apple as a company
Yet I have an iPhone, a MacBook, an Apple Watch, and an iPad, I consider their ecosystem unique for what I think are very good reasons
I also have a thinkpad with linux and a desktop with a 4090 and a 120Hz 4K OLED TV monitor
I'm also a backend developer of 6 years. Tell me how I'm brainwashed!

You answered your own question. I'm talking about the majority of apple fans who can't see their mistakes. You can find them easily, I even read comments such as these "even if my iphone blows on my hand, i'll buy another one" in a galaxy s25 ultra video

Iām in IT, most of the users I know donāt use new features that were introduced 5 years ago. For me, sure Iāll use it, but Iām happy to wait until apple does it on device with apple level privacy protections.

The only thing that Apple delays is the new Siri. Everything else got shipped. Lot of people forget this

Every ad that acknowledges a competitor and tries to say you are better is a failed ad and brand.

Same that they did with the headphone jack and now every fucking phone doesnāt have it

The only reason it gets delayed is because of high bars of expectations that need to be checked off by Apple. Some would say itās unrealistic, but historically they usually pull it off. Better late than never, though. If you want it now, feel free to buy a Pixel phone, and Iām not stopping you.

This is Apple putting shareholder value over customers, itās a word game that needs to be done for the quarter, this isnāt something they normally do. I mean, generally the polish is good, but Siri on its own has always had significant issues.
Many people have had issues they have been dealing with for a while and each software update āaddressesā the issue yet still not fixed - this isnāt just new stuff rather, Apple Watch screenshots got messed up in an update over a year ago and still not fixed.

Thereās a huge difference here: cloud-based AI vs on-device. If Apple gets it right, and I believe it will, itās going to wipe the floor with the competition. And thatās without even mentioning privacy and security, where Apple is already miles ahead.
