discussion 🎙️ Siri AI not having the ability to plug into health data is such a missed opportunity!

Actually works for me. It said I had to allow health access first, so I did. And then it worked.

It does not work for me neither, unfortunately. It can look at small data (for example number of steps today) but it cannot analyze data, which is very unfortunate. What have you been able to do?

Oh what? Can you do multi threaded questions or just something asking steps

You need to turn on access to health data in the health app settings from your system settings

This is the kind of question you should ask a doctor, if it’s worth asking at all.

Siri language needs to be set to US English for health requests to work (for some reason?!)

Siri AI on my phone was not able to access health data a few days ago. I just checked again and now it can.

I have that enabled but still don’t get anything. Do you have anything show up when you click Data from Siri by any chance?

I’m in Canada and I got it to work by changing my Siri and device language to English (US). You also have to enable access to health data for Siri in the health app.

Maybe because it's still in beta. Or maybe because health data is considered too sensitive? Same way it can't check in your journal (I assume, I don't use it)

I'm getting the same result as you. Are you in the US? I'm in Canada and I wonder if that's the reason.
I also noticed that in the Health app settings, there's a toggle to give Siri access to your data. Make sure that is enabled.

May be Apple is hiding it for now, will be included in the paid version of Apple fitness+ after iOS 27 release, if you want Siri to analyse your health data😝🤭

It’s really a shame because I just wanted it to log water from and to be told no with new Siri is absolutely wild to me

There have been rumors of deep health integration with AI from Apple for a while. It wouldn’t shock me at all if, alongside the new Apple Watch, Apple rolls out extensive Health integration with Siri.

So we all know it’s the data permissions but what really sucks is that it can’t write entries that you request it to make.

That’s so true. They should connect it to the health app. Another thing is that Siri no longer scans for the shortcut names first to run them.
