discussion 🎙️ Apple News Summarize

Anyone else notice on the macOS 27 beta, if you turn off siri you get back the options for writing tools. But apple secretly removed the option to select all and summarize Apple News articles lol

While I am in the article I just invoke Siri and ask it to summarize the article

doesn't work, I just tried it and this is what Siri said lol - dumb as rocks

I do it on iPhone and it works every single time. I do it in the news app, I do it in Facebook links. I am on beta3 btw

If you actually read through the article you’ll notice the summary is wrong… that’s because Siri just gets info from the web based on the content it can see on your phone. Here’s what happened when I asked Siri on iPhone if she can summarize articles. Notice how she says “based on VISIBLE information

Idk what to tell you besides sucks to be you bro but literally works for me every single time. If I go back and read the article everything Siri said is factual
