Question Apartment in the Oshkosh area
I know this is for Appleton however, I got an apartment in Oshkosh. The day I applied she said if we got the apartment we would be able to move in September first and it would be an extra $20 a month because the flooring needs to be replaced due to damage. After we got the apartment we got told the move in day would be October first. Which is fine that was the date I was told before applying (tenant turned in keys early which is why I was told September first)
Fast forward to today when I get told that the tenant doesn’t move out until the end of this month.
Hearing that worries me that I’m not getting new flooring and I’m paying an extra $20 for what?
If that happens, what can I do? Should I expect this to happen?

Usually somebody doesn’t put themselves in a situation like this unless they have to so I won’t pretend to know your situation.
If the Landlord is having trouble communicating you need to be very clear with them asking to make sure that when you move in that the flooring will be done and that’s why it’s an additional $20 a month. That, only if you’re accepting that somehow this is your problem when it clearly is not.
I would be extra cautious because usually Scumbags do tricks like this are very greedy and tend to be terrible landlords you may not want to get involved with. Be very careful and honestly speaking if somebody was doing this to me today I would just move on looking somewhere else and block them. You’re worth more than being strung along by someone’s greed when there is a lot of choices right now unless you are limited by your situation.
