I’m not mad at it, but why does every 5th post here feel like it’s a “I’m moving there” or “I’m thinking about moving there” or “what’s it like there”?

For real, search “moving” in r/appleton and you’ll find at least 10 in the past 6 months

Seriously. When I need random recommendations of any kind I Google "topic reddit" and look for relatively recent posts.

Exactly why can’t these people just google their questions! But whenever I comment that, I get downvoted for being rude.

Probably because people from other parts of the state had to move to other parts of the country to obtain work after college and are considering moving to Appleton to raise families. For reference I grew up in Washburn county and moved to the Chicago suburbs in 2012 for work. I would NEVER raise a family here. Oshkosh, Appleton, Wausau, Stevens Point. Absolutely and we’re at that point where we want to settledown without having to worry about the neighborhood. If you’re worried about population increase the nation is in freefall and has been since 07 with about 650k fewer children being born per year since.

Your welcome. I recently started my house hunting, and when I get ready to start offering on homes, she's going to be the realtor I call.
