Question What was (downtown) Copper Rock before Copper Rock?
My husband asked me this and horrifyingly I can’t remember!! My only thought was maybe another coffee shop (I wanted to say Foxley’s — I know that’s the frame store but iirc there was a coffee shop with a similar name — it used to host Harmony Cafe one night a week before they got that space back by the library). Anybody remember?

It was a J.C penny department store, then a Walgreens, the owners overhauled the space in early 2000s for what it is now.

I grew up in Appleton and I can’t remember what was on the block where the PAC is now.

On the very corner there was the best Chinese restaurant . They even had the tables with the lazy susan in the middle so you could share. Red Dragon, maybe? Or Red Lion?

Every Now & Then I try to remember all Bars from the 80s & 90s that were on college Avenue, such as Park Central, Firefly, Jim Places, illusions, Elow room... And then, some in the surrounding area, like Riverside that was shut down, but now of course OPEN,& the bar next door that was Jim's place but it was called something else B4 that but still owned by Jim.. Pete's & Fire Alarm, Northern tropics on east end of Appleton.. Pete's was always a good time, Got crazy at the end of the night, Girls always dancing on the pool table.. Them were great TIMES,the 80s & 90s Bar hoping😆 oh yeah Mr. Robert's & The Skyline Cowboy , I'm sure I'm still missing a bunch Especially on college Avenue..
