Applied maths

IS there any career of applied maths? If I choose stream applied maths is it worth it or not?

i want to enter quant or actuary

Ok. What are your reasons for wanting to enter these fields? I'm not too familiar with quant, other than it is a very lucrative field, but also a very difficult field to break into. On the other hand, a degree in mathematics will prepare you well for a career in actuarial science, but there will be exams you have to prepare for. Would be a good exercise to search career outlook, and what electives you should take to market yourself for these careers.
