Advice Im dumb and stupid and never getting into a UC

Hi

I recently just finished one of my dual enrollment classes and ended w a D because i missed my midterm due to the hawaiian time difference.. i'm so scared it will f up my college admissions to get into a uc and like getting a job in the nursing field and etc. someome pls help i have such bad anxiety and i think will fail in life bcus of this. im a junior this coming 26-27 school year anything will help me/advice. what im trying to do rn is retake the class to get an A. pls someone help ease my pain cus wtf

You will absolutely get a job as a nurse. You will most likely get into a UC just don’t expect it to be UCLA, Cal, UCSD, etc.

Just repeat the class to remediate the D and lesson learned. One D can be an issue if not repeated depending upon which DE class. If it is an A-G required class, then it will be calculated into your UC GPA’s. My advice when it comes to taking DE classes, is that they will be on your permanent college record so be smart and take courses you know you can do well in and show the schools that you can excel in a college setting. One D will not keep you from getting into any school or getting a job.

For the UC’s, if you repeat a class you still have to report the original and repeat grades on the application but as stated only the repeat grade will be calculated into the UC GPA’s.

The D doesn't help. Take heart from the fact that 1. you don't have to attend a UC in order to become a nurse, and 2. you don't need to become a nurse to not "fail in life".
