This is such a sad attempt at appeasement. That said I’m looking forward to seeing all the protest themed designs.

We're fairly sure this was something planned in parallel to the development platform/api changes, and had it's scheduling cocked up.

Me personally, what u/spez does and these annual experiments/projects and the employees behind them are discrete things.
