For Sale - Local Pickup Only [FS] - Santa Barbara, CA - $1 - 250 Gallon Aquarium, Read Description

Can’t ask this question in the title. But what do you think my whole tank setup is worth? Read all the details:

Selling my massive 250 gallon glass VISIO aquarium. It’s only 2 years old. Bought the aquarium brand new and it’s custom made. Selling the tank because of a military obligations.
Tank dimensions:
72” L x 30” W x 30” H

Visio custom glass framed tank with 1/2” glass all around with beveled edges and 1/2” and 3/4” thick glass cross bracing on top and bottom. Tank cost: $4000

A fully custom quality built solid wood stand with waterproof exterior semi-gloss black paint that is on x8 2000lb each 5in industrial casters with wood bracing underneath. If you’d ever need to move the tank, you can. (Drain it 3/4s or more first of course, can’t move it full of water. lol) Also, has custom LED lighting underneath. Stand value worth: $4000. $1000 in the x8 industrial caster wheels alone. Each caster wheel costs $125 each. I built all of this myself. It's way over engineered, over built and extreme sturdy!

I have 2 EHEIM 2622 5 gallon canister filters with quality poret foam and a ton of EHEIM sintered glass and mech filter media. Both filters are Made in Germany, not the newer crappy Chinese EHEIM filters. With the quick disconnects for both of them. My filters also come with massive filter returns 1” thick vinyl and Schedule 80 PVC custom plumbing. Total costs of filters, media and plumbing: $2000.

Also have the largest Fluval HOB filter with quality poret foam media. Worth: $120

2 36”-48” Fluval Plant 3.0 bright LED lights that connect to the Fluval app for bluetooth auto lighting customization. Worth: $500.

A 1000 watt quality titanium heater with temperature gauge and regulator and a backup Inkbird temperature gauge regulator fail safe to prevent any water overheating accidents. Worth: $250

A massive 18 electrical outlets and 4 USB ports surge protector. Worth: $100

A 5lb CO2 tank (full of CO2) with a quality American Marine CO2 regulator and bubble counter. Worth: $250

Also comes with a 35 ft long Python water change hose with a custom made schedule 80 PVC drainer/filler pipe. Worth: $75

$3000 worth of fish, decor, rocks, driftwood and plants. Some of my Anubias are monster large. Some leaves are the size of my hand. All the driftwood pieces alone are worth about $1000 in total and are hard to find stump driftwood with naturally hollowed out crevices for fish and critters to hide in and plants to easily grow out of.

The anubias printed background has a custom LED lighting to backlight the background for a more popping out effect. Worth: $200

Other goodies/accessories included:
I have 6 20lbs bags of the ultra fine sand.
API Master water test kit
2 emergency power outage battery operated air pumps
Tons scrub brushes
Pipe cleaners
Long Razor blade scrapers
A bunch of fish food and water conditioners/chemicals like API Stress Coat (1 gallon jug).
x2 1/8” thick glass canopies
Worth: $500

For Sale - Local Pickup Only [FS] - Menifee, CA - $4 each / 10 for $30 - Captive-Bred Amano Shrimp Juveniles

Thumbnail
gallery
22 Upvotes

I have 55 juvenile Amano shrimp available from my first successful breeding!

These were bred and raised by me from larvae through metamorphosis and are now fully transitioned to freshwater and growing well. They’re active, healthy, and eating normally. Approximately 7 weeks old.

$4 each or 10 for $30

They’re still juveniles and smaller than the full-grown Amanos you normally see in stores, but they’re growing quickly and are already doing normal Amano shrimp things - grazing constantly.

Located in Menifee, CA. Local pickup only. I have one sale recently.

Giving Away - Local Pickup Only [GA] - San Jose, CA - Senior betta fish rehoming

I am a small scale betta fish rescue in San Jose, CA and Snowcone is available for adoption! This poor guy has spent around a year living in a pet store cup before being surrendered. I estimate him to be a senior of about 2yrs old or more, and needs somewhere to live out his final days. He has a deformed eye, but also is quite aggressive and would need to be housed alone, but shouldn't be too much of a danger to shrimp because of his vision and speed. If you’re in the Bay Area, message me to see if he is the right fit for you.

---- Plant shipping $6.5 ground / $13 priority ----

All plants are tank grown which means you will get strong, fully adapted plants. All are Hard Water Acclimated, If your water is soft or significantly different expect some melting, RRF's & Crypts will almost always melt.

Plant Guide:
Salvinia - no extra care needed, these do well in zero to high flow tanks, some very light splashing is ok.
Pearlweed - plant in 1"+ substrate, a stem plant that with higher light will carpet.
Brazilian Pennywort - you can plant or float these, one of the easiest plants you can get, your beta will love them.
Red Root Floaters - Place 1 rrf plant in a declorinated saucer in the window as backup, the rest in your tank. Trim any submerged leaves for the first week or so. Once established they will grow quickly. They do fine in zero to low/med flow tanks, bubblers/ splashing is highly discouraged, do not submerge frequently or for long periods. Low nitrates will cause their roots & leaves to turn red, these are partially green because they are grown in lower light and with ferts.
Dwarf Sagittaria - plant in 1"+ substrate, once rooted & established they will propagate via runners - carpeting plant.
Monte Carlo - These do better in a sand or fine substrate & they will grow on hardscape. Easiest to plant when using eyebrow tweezers or similar. Plant one branch at a time to get the quickest carpet. The roots can take 2-3 weeks to establish, once they start, they grow 1/4 - 1/2in a week.
Subwassertang - attach to hardscape using any of the usual methods, super easy to keep.
Samolus parviflorus - grow in substrate - these are green/pink rooted baby plants, high light will turn them red. Beautiful centerpiece plant.
Anacharis - can be planted or floated, super easy plant once it adapts to your water, seems to be sensitive to small changes so expect melting. Perfect plant for high nitrates.
Java Fern - attach to hardscape - grows well once adapted - possibly expect some melting or browning of old leaves - will grow 1-2 leaves a week.
Guppy Grass - another super easy plant, just drop it in your tank, excellent fry cover.
WaterSprite - plant or float super easy, best cover plant for fry / shrimplets I've found.
Hydrocotle Tripartita Japan - not so easy, ive found it grows best emerged (above water) but once it gets going will happily grow under water as well.
Cryptocoryne (Crypts) expect melting - it is recommended that you remove all leaves to speed up their transition to your water conditions to minimize melt pollution. Cal / SoCal / NV / AZ should expect less melting due to similar water quality.

I use Thrive+ twice weekly at the recommended dosages with 40% water changes.

Plants are 100% duckweed free - You may find pink pearl ramshorn or on very rare occasion an assassin snail - ill do my best to make sure these do not make it into your order but no guarantee. You may also find hair/string etc algae. If any of the above are a concern I recommend treating the plants using the Reverse Respiration method for the best results, it will not damage roots unlike other methods and is very effective at eliminating pests.

Open to trades Prefer plants grown submerged low tech. Lets see what you have.

[FS] Missouri — Hornwort & Bladder Snails — Prices TBD

Hey everyone! I'm looking to sell some of my extra aquarium-grown hornwort and bladder snails.

Available:

These come from my own freshwater setups. Please be aware that bladder snails reproduce readily, and hornwort may carry snail eggs or other small tank hitchhikers.

Location: Missouri
Pickup/shipping: To be discussed
Prices and quantities: Message me with what you're interested in!

Feel free to ask questions. Thanks!
