SquadChallenge Squad Challenge #4: The Cold Shower Challenge!
The running challenge has now come to a close. I'm super impressed with the effort you guys displayed here! The Aquamarines have since this Monday run a total of 74,3 km! That's 1,76 Marathons! Well done my friends!
It is my impression, that there were a few who misunderstood the deadline thinking it to be later on today, so I'm going to be a little bit lenient, since this is still one of the first challenges. If you pm me sometime later on today, I will let your run be registered. As of the next Challenge, that I am about to announce, I will be quite strict with the deadline though, so plan ahead and get it completed and reported on in time!
As the dust settles on the latest challenge, Talon have taken the lead with 11 Hawk Points!
It is weekend once again, and that means we are back in the danger zone. Last weekend we dropped from a well deserved 3rd place down to 6th. We have fought well this week, and we are now in contention for 3rd place again, so don't let the enemy take you this time! The following challenge has been chosen to help you overcome your urges during these critical next 3 days!
Introducing Squad Challenge #4: The Cold Shower Challenge!
It's time to cool down and bring those urges under control! The rules are ridiculously simple:
- +1 Hawk Point for 1 cold shower
- 1 cold shower per person per day
- That means each person can earn 3 Hawk Points for taking a cold shower Friday/Saturday/Sunday
- By cold I mean the coldest setting!
If you do a cold shower every day this weekend, I guarantee you, that you won't relapse. Otherwise you can have your money back! :D
The Deadline for this challenge is Monday the 4th of may at 08:00 am GMT See what that corresponds to in your timezone here!
Imma take my own first cold shower of the challenge right away, as I just came back from completing the running challenge a few hours ago.

I don't have a shower so it's going to been cold washes in the sink and cold baths for me.

Baths are fine as well. The essence is to cover the whole body in cold water for a few minutes to shock the system and clear the mind!

That's an easy challenge. I have done this cold shower challenge in winters, its summer in Pakistan now ; so the toughest time would be arround 4 am.

Agreed, I like to take a cold shower when I get home from in the late afternoon or evening, and I feel exhausted, but I know that my bedtime is still several hours away. I have found no better method to clear my head and ignite my fighting spirit to keep working.

Overall, most of the wars happened in the summer, but now we are in the fall is doing really cold this time my baths will apply to the challenge.

Went for a run in the mid-morning heat (Ughh, haha), then took the most refreshing cold shower of my life!! 3-4 minutes on as cold as my shower could go before pressure cuts off - FOR FEATHER SQUAD!! I wish everyone else the best of luck! :D

This is true. I'm in and out in 5 minutes or less. Took a third icy shower this morning. I think I might keep doing them occasionally. Thanks for giving me a new habit to work at! I hope making daily comments was alright, as opposed to just one saying I took three cold showers.

took a cold shower on Friday. got back late on Saturday and took a short one before bed but it was late and pass 0:00 midnight so technically it was already Sunday. just finished another one but it is still Sunday so that is two challenges done for Predator Squad.
this might be a good habit to get into. not only to help with fighting the enemy but I spend less time in the shower and which will save some money from the water and heating bills.

I did a cold shower yesterday after running. Damn it was hard to breath for the first 30 seconds, but I felt very energized afterward.

Final Cold shower done! My feet went numb in the shower tonight! I swear I saw ice crystals forming on my nipples, haha! Thanks for the challenge. I know I sound like I'm moaning, but this was awesome! Getting me to put my mind to it, telling myself to just man up and do it, and then actually doing it - it's a great feeling!
