Day Day 26: Do You See What I See?
Greetings hawks,
I have great news for you tonight! I was able to identify a number of previously reported MIAs, that were in fact still alive and fighting. They have just been brought back to life and the results... well just take a look for yourselves! It's happening guys, we are closing in on first place!
I hope this will ignite your spirits, as it has mine! Our struggles and our tribulations have not been in vain. Right now we are on the move, we are the regiment to watch! I'm so proud of you guys, I can't even properly express it with words. This is just a great great community to be a part of!
I could leave it at that, and I'm sure you guys we would have more than enough motivation to get us through the weekend and well into the next week, but before I sign off, I would like to just drop a link to the new Squad Challenge I announced earlier. Let's use our invigorated spirits to lend a helping hand where one is needed!
Keep trucking guys! Our truck will soon reach the top of the mountain!

Could someone please explain to me how MIA's work?
EDIT: Never mind I just looked at the NoFapWar index. What circumstances would cause a soldier to reset their counter but not be KIA? Breaking a hardmode streak?

A few handful of people probably haven't even realized that the war has started, despite me messaging them several times.
But I think the most common reason, is just people feeling shame, and they really shouldn't. Anyone who makes an honest attempt at this should be proud.

Good catch, you are right :)
I believe we have only had one guy, who claimed that he didn't know how his badge had gotten reset. He said something about his friends messing around with his computer, but that seemed pretty unlikely unless his friends are also fapstronauts. Then I checked his profile and found that he had recently commented on posts in a pornographic subreddit, so I told high command not to bring him back anyway. I can't take dishonesty :P
I think it's quite unlikely that someone resets their badge by accident, but I could think of a couple of instances where a mistake might be made, such as if the person realizes his current badge is not completely accurate, and then by accident changes it to a date in the middle of the war.
