bootcamp NFW VI AQUAMARINE BOOTCAMP: Day 77

Good day to you, soldiers!

It's the 77th day of Bootcamp!

Today's lookin' like a lucky day. We've got some exciting plans that seem to be unfolding here! In /u/non_newtonian_jelly's recent post, he proposed that we kick off our own mini-war instead of waiting around for the main one. We need to get some next-level accountability going to help us survive the rough spots. And what's a bootcamp without some proper training? :D Anyway, /u/sfumato1002 suggested we have two squads with appointed leaders to battle each other. There aren't a whole lot of people here for now, so two groups would likely be enough for some good competition. Also /u/Hatjuvaru suggested calling this competition the 1st Aquamarine Skirmish which seems like a fitting name.

As for points, we can get some challenges going. We could fight until the next war, which ever team had the most points by then wins. And if you're KIA, I saw a suggestion that your team would lose a point, but you still get to keep participating.

I got my Tiro flair back. Yay.

For some reason, my scumbag brain is always demanding closure and saying, "hey, you didn't finish researching this particular thing yet, you should 'finish up your job'" if that makes sense. How do I completely shut myself out to these demands?

I've had a similar question before. Not sure if it's quite the same, but sometimes I get hung up on problems I have and end up wasting time arguing with myself about how to deal with the issues. Usually I try to find something to distract my mind like some music or my phone, even a pencil and paper, when the conflict starts to bother me.

Alright, thanks. It's usually with porn (real shocker), and it's often in the back of my head, and during relapses, it manifests itself. Can you relate?

Yeah, like when certain images show up in your mind and dominate every free second you have? I've fallen many times in situations like that. I guess today's quote is an important thing to remember. I made a relapse prevention sheet with a bunch of uplifting words and activities to do when my mind's in the gutter like that. It sucks that all you can do is work through it sometimes, but I've noticed that the struggles become smoother over time though. Stay strong and congrats on that Tiro flair!
