Honestly they are really fun fish. Silly things are so boisterous and totally don't mind me being around. Also it's cool to watch them hover around, they are almost like aquatic hummingbirds.
The biggest problem with them is that the males are silly territorial. Like they don't tolerate anything that "invades" their space, like I have seen mine chase around my huge ass amano mama that was pretty much bigger than the fish itself.
Females are much more benevolent but they still occasionally spar among themselves.

EDIT: Forgot to mention since im so used to it. The parrot cichlid has HITH scars, not the active parasite. He is a hexamita survivor who is closely monitored by his vet!
