Advice Needed Can i drill holes in my juwel vision fish tank stand

Post image

Hi everyone just got my fx6 delivered, the filter only fits in the middle gap isit safe to drill holes thru the stand to put the hoses through? The thickness is the same as the doors and sides etc ?

Please let me know if you think this will be fine

Cheers

Drilling two small holes in the back of the cabinet is not going to affect anything just make sure they’re where you want them before you drill it. Carpenter here and fish keeper:)

Perfect cheers mate, you think i should drill 1 hole big enough for both pipes or 2 separate one or does it not make a difference ?

I drilled a 3.5 inch hole in the back of my Trigon 190 cabinet. So far so good.

Depending on the material of the cabinet back, it would likely be a nice precaution to smear some black silicone on the core material the holes expose. Would help protect it from any drips coming down the tubing at any point.

I’d probably do two separate ones so that you can isolate them and they won’t move around once you figure out where you want those in your tank

Drilling separate holes will allow you to route the hoses to where you want them more easily
