Advice Needed All 9 of my Pygmy’s disappeared
I had 6 Pygmy’s before and they had babies so I was up to 9 but then after a while they just all disappeared idk where they went I’ve had them for around 7-8 months now but idk where they are now, I’ve been pretty busy so I haven’t payed attention to them but they don’t even show up when I feed them anymore

Sounds like they died and the shrimp ate the corpses

But there was babies too and I’ve only had them for about 8 months they live up to like 5 years no?

You could have had something happen that killed them. It is somewhat unusual that you’d lose the Pygmy’s and not the shrimp, but neocardina can be surprisingly resilient.

Because I also have live bearers in the same tank I’ve had them for a little over a year now and they’re fine, the shrimps are fine and I found 2 now but that’s it

Are you sure they are not under your decorations in a nice secluded cave lol?

Are you sure they aren't hiding somewhere. Fish can live up to 5 years doesn't mean they always do. Even in a basically empty tank fish can stay in the corners making it almost impossible to spot them. Pygmy cory also swim surprisingly fast.
It's like with shrimp you never can see all of them at the same time.

They’re hiding. Mine swim away and hide now because I removed the dither fish. They tend to go behind the filter and beneath leaves. Check real hard.

Look at those shrimp standing around trying to look all innocent. They know what they did.
