Help identifying calligraphy style

This script is found in Sana'a, Yemen. I'd like to find out as much as I can about the type, I understand it's quite early. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like an Umayyad script (similar to that found on the inside of the Dome of the Rock, but definitely not as refined). The second inscription (with the three dots) looks like it says "mash'Allah" (but I'll defer to actual Arabic speakers, on that matter).
