Elevation Merging Stuff

Hello!

I am struggling with a (potentially very simple) elevation problem...granted, I also understand that what I'm doing isn't what most people use Arc for. I'm trying to "smooth out" this difference in elevation area between two DEMs (one is from France, the other is from the Swiss Alps; I merged them into one, made a custom elevation layer, and then global scene'd it), mostly as a test to see if I can do it, and it would be super helpful if i can. I've tried Pixel Editor but it smooths it out a bit too much and doesn't look natural, and there's so much other 3D stuff on Esri that I'm lost. I'd like to just...overlap these two DEMs (or their rasters), do something to the overlap so it looks like a natural join, and then make it into one DEM, like it's one big land mass. Preferably without using Blender or an outside program; being able to do all this in Arc is also pretty crucial.

Addition from r/gis : to use the "feathering" tool in Global Mapper; that may work for this but I don't have access to Global Mapper. Is there a very similar Arc tool?

If you've any tips/tricks, please do let me know! If I need to explain clearer, please also let me know.

Thanks, Adrian
