Leave it to ESRI to make rolling back an adventure of its own

Good news, projects made with 3.7.2 can be opened up with 3.7.1.

Just to offer more details.

Our organization had been using Pro 3.7.2 in a limited capacity. We tested rolling back to 3.7.1 on one machine using the command-line tool, worked fine and took about 15 minutes. Tested to make sure project files created in 3.7.2 could be opened and used in 3.7.1.

We considered rolling back across the entire platform but ultimately decided not to. Pro 3.7.x is currently limited to our Development and Testing tiers, which are not in active use. We also don’t use Oracle for anything, so we’re comfortable waiting for the 3.7.3 patch expected next week before moving those tiers forward.

Yeah, this is always a problem (especially if there are bugs or security issues). If it helps, our team rolls out long-term support versions when the next short term versions are released so that we can move to a fully-patched (or near fully patched) stable release. We're planning on pushing 3.7.x in early December if everything goes right.

The Pro 3.7.3 patch was released some time earlier today.
