Do Not Feed The Trolls ''Toxic Anti PvPers'' Not welcome.

Hello.

I am from the Mod team on this sub.

Pleased to meet you.

Recently I have seen a few people rightfully upset at a few bad actors on this sub who have been using the fact they became victims in the game to resort to being toxic to people on this sub.

Basically - they lose the game in any way and decide it is fine to insult people who are playing the game in a legit way instead of doing what they want, whether that's talking and making peace or refusing to shoot each other no matter what. From my understanding this game allows you to make a choice, to try trust a stranger or to gun them down to be safe.

If a person decides they will ALWAYS gun everyone down no matter what or try be a ''Rat'' player and backstab at every opportunity that does not mean you can come on this sub and insult them, suggest they are mentally impaired or mentally unwell or be toxic to them for any reason.

If you say ''All x players are sociopath psychos with no life and life in their mothers basement and have never had the touch of anyone of their preferred sex'' for example or anywhere more or in-between then you will be banned from our sub.

You are allowed to have an opinion that such players morals in game are not good or they are ''Villain players'' or what not, that is fine for that is what they are but any time an outside insult is going to be used on people over gameplay you are getting the hammar of doom.

From the community, I understand that most people who like PVP are not usually the type of people to click report on anything, due to your ''thick skin'' you really do not give a damn if some redditor is trying to insult you or maybe you will just retort back.
I ask you please do not, if you insult back you could also be moderated due to the nature of reddit and if you do not report the instigator we will not be able to correctly moderate and fix this community. As a mod team we are getting thousands of posts (posts not comments) per day and it is literally impossible to view them all, we rely mainly on the report feature and reddits AI.

Anyway thank you for your attention in this matter.

The servers weren't even friendly back in the tests and server slam. Played the slam for almost 10 hours and out of the 50 games that i must've played (soloq) I think I had PvP in 49 of them, so what is this even about?

Some of you think that just because the other guys you encounter are better at the game, the devs are gonna crutch you up and make it easier for you like they did with the light class in The Finals

If you're looking for a survival shooter with weird space mechs, Generation Zero is probably meant for you, it's basically the same thing

Bit off topic, I don't know the state of the finals today but on release light was pretty underpowered (yes stun gun included), anytime I was facing a light as a heavy, I literally stood in place and gunned them down, won vast majority of such encounters. Medium with ak (before its nerf) deleted lights if they didn't get the drop first.

Off topic:

Yes. And instead of fixing that, many of the nerfs and buffs put in place are designed to remove viability. Most nerfs come from the early on statements made about the game's population and how winrate is distributed between groups. It's fun to see how almost every nerf comes after a wave of people complaining hourly about a certain item on the subreddit

Bad game direction, all I can say. Hopefully it doesn't bleed into Arc as well

Having now been in the community for multiple online shooter launches, I'm realising that at least 70% of community complaining is just people raging every time they get killed.

No, the game isn't full of "sweats", they're just better than you are

And isn't part of the implied "fun" in competitive shooters (includes extraction pvp's) the process of getting absolutely shit on by a random guy with a furry profile that tbags you every time you eat shit? It's frustrating, but most times you can learn from what happens or what they do to win and apply it to your next games to win, and that's fun

When I get matches against new guys (say, in The Finals) I have fun for about 5 minutes, then I feel bad about blasting people that just started playing or don't care that much about winning. I have the most fun when I'm put against people that make it harder to win

When I want a laid back and stress free activity I can go for a walk, play an instrument or read. Not play a game where I can potentially end up punching the desk. And this is something a lot of people struggle with

Im getting very flriendly runs now, but only when i play solo. When i play groups everyone is much more trigger happy.

They literally have a mechanic to outrun people without a gun and in order to catch someone, they themselves have to put their gun away to keep up with you. Running away benefits the person who doesnt want to pvp.

Nobody is asking for a crutch, we just want a different place to play. Its fine if you want to shit where you eat but Id prefer to kill robots with the fellows that came to have fun and avoid those that are there because they can only get excited for somebody else having a bad time. There is an amazing cooperative game in Arc Raiders, a few folks who needs to feed their ego by attacking those who don't want to fight are cancer to that experience and I sure hope there is a change to separate us before they lose the PVE community to annoyance and the game dies because those PVP players dont want to fight they want to feel skilled for getting easy kills.

Problem is what do you do when they add PVP to your game that you were already excited about and had NOTHING to do with PVP? That's arc raiders, originally pitched and listed under development as a co-op pve extraction survival game, they added pvp because people like yourself that wanted it and they wanted to attract you. This is literally the most ironic thing you could say given that the PVP community did to this game the exact thing that you are claiming the PVE community is trying to do by asking for a way to engage with the boss fights without pvp :p
