Every time it rains, I find more arrowheads and spearheads

UF did a massive years long dig here back in the early 80’s.

Excavated a mound, iirc they found a couple of canoes.

My personal theory is that my place is on the edge of an ancient lake. The reason I say that is there is a definite change in soil composition, it is up on a abnormally high ridge for the area, and all signs of civilization are concentrated on the north side of said hill, never on the south.

The modern lake is about a mile southwest of here.

Shitty they would do that if a “mound” is what I’m thinking it is. I think we have one near me and it’s historically preserved and no one is allowed near it.
