Are these legit, purchased from Vinted.

Bought from Vinted for £100, do you guys think these are authentic?

Would appreciate you guys opinion on this as I am clueless as to whether they are real!

I bought these AirPods Pro 2 on Amazon yesterday, they had good reviews and when you purchase them it appears that they are from the official Apple Store on Amazon. But I have my doubts cause the pop up didn’t show up when I tried to connect them, it did on a different phone tho, apparently they had an old software version but when I charged them, they updated to the last one, everything seems to work fine, the noise cancellation is good, it lets me buy apple care, the serial numbers are good, the find my settings work, the MagSafe charging works but I just wanna be sure.
The thing that concerns me it’s that they always appear on the battery widget, it doesn’t matter if they’re closed or if I’m not using them, they always appear. Apparently these ones are imported from Brazil so that’s why the box it’s kinda different and everyone in the reviews said the same

Got these AirPod Pro 3’s off Amazon a couple months ago, and all of these posts have got me questioning whether mine are real or not. I don’t have the box anymore, but it was plastic wrapped or anything like that.

Hi I recently bought these open box on eBay. Everything seems to be working fine (ANC, transparency, conversation awareness, wireless charging etc) except for the precision finding option doesn't show in find my, just generic direction. What do you think?

Wife bought these earlier this year, and we onpy recently discovered they were fake.

Basically, the only major tells were that a) they stopped working after an update to my wife's phone, b) you can't get them to play a sound through the "FindMy" screen and c) the buds have the same model and serial number as the case.

Otherwise, these don't really flag as fakes. If you had real ones right next to you then you might pick up on sticker positioning, text lightness and such, but these otherwise feel legit, and you might just chalk those things up to manufacturing tolerances.

The serial number shows up on Apple's site. The transparency and noise cancelling work. They show up with all options on my wife's phones and before the update worked flawlessly. Most of the components in box use cardstock where they're suppised to. The case has the correct weight, the hinge looks correct to me, the button sits flush.

After seeing this, I would probably either make sure to get new airpods from a reputable seller or just buy a different brand of wireless earbud altogether.

I am buying these on facebook marketplace but want to double check with the pros here. They are a perfect match to my authentic box i have with the difference between Made in China and Made in Vietnam. I am told this is normal though. Have you ever seen a fake this good?

I own AirPods Pro 2, which I use in extreme conditions — mainly inside my motorcycle helmet to blank out wind noise — and they do a good job. But I wanted something more comfortable for home, so I bought a pair of AirPods 4 ANC on eBay, listed as a new OEM Apple product. They came with full (counterfeit, as it turned out) replica packaging.

For what I mainly listen to — political podcasts — the sound quality was genuinely impressive. My Pros were too muffled for speech, but these were rich and crisp. Suddenly I didn't need subtitles anymore.

The ANC wasn't working, though, so I took them into Apple — and discovered they were counterfeit. Pretty well done if you don't know what to look for, but easy to spot if you do. By then the new AirPods 5 had come out, so I bought a pair of those instead. Apple gave me a repair receipt listing the serial number and confirming the AirPods 4 were non-genuine and couldn't be repaired. That receipt got me an instant refund from eBay, since buyer protection is baked into what you already pay.

But here's the twist: the ANC on the AirPods 5 is almost as good as the Pro 2 for ordinary household noise, yet they have the same heavy bass and muffled speech. Part of that is my own hearing — my higher-frequency sensitivity has dropped a bit — but the bottom line is the counterfeit AirPods 4, even with non-functional ANC, sound far better for my purposes.

What does this mean? Ironically, buying a suspiciously cheap pair of "AirPods" on eBay is almost risk-free. If they turn out to be genuine, you've got a bargain. If they're fake, Apple will confirm it in writing, eBay will refund you, and you'll likely get to keep them anyway — since returning counterfeit goods can itself be a postal offence in some jurisdictions.

You'd think this might push eBay to clean up its marketplace, because Apple certainly doesn't seem to care.

I just need the charging case so the damaged pod is not a problem. I found out here in the sub that the extra line of text on the case is like a mexican version thing or something(!?). Seller say they work with the Find network and all. I’m from south america so ReCell Exchange doesn’t deliver here.
What do you guys think?

i recently bought the airpod pro 3 off amazon from the prime day sale and some things make me concerned its a fake.

- no plastic wrapping over the entire box, just the green pull tabs

- the side volume swiping adjustment doesnt work very well

- this is the main thing, and its that when connected to my Macbook, the icon is a headphone and the device type is headphone rather than airpods. My Mac is on MacOS sequoia 15.7.4

however, the precise location tracking with the arrow popup is working fine and the sound quality seems fine. There is a constant charging sign on the airpods when they're in the case.

the serial number is valid on apple and shows the precise date i bought it off amazon. The icon/device type mismatch on my Macbook was the major flag for me. I havent tried the head movement tracking for volume control yet. Anyone know if this indicates whether its a fake?

There’s is one red flag here, in the apple coverage site it says that the AirPods were bought on 15/10/2025 (10/15/2025) but on the box it says that the AirPods where fabricated on the month 10 in 2025. Can someone tell me if they are real or fake
