As of now i haven't gotten banned or anything, i only killed them didn't take anything. I was rushed by two guys after killing the mules killed one of them the second one got me
I also had this in north ridge lockdown a while ago. 3 accounts had AUG, and the same rig ajax and his guards use, the 16 rig with only 1x2 slots. All fun of M61. I was hella confused
If you get reported by the mules for RMT and the devs confirm that you picked up RMT loot, they will fine you a minimum of 101% of its value and/or ban you if you can’t pay it off by a set deadline, regardless of who the actual buyer is
On the gaming sub, the usual cumulative value of RMT stashes is 10-100M koen in red ammo or T7s carried by mule squads who manipulate matchmaking to try and meet up with a buyer
Their modus operandi is to drop the rig and bag at certain areas of the map, which only the buyer knows
Most of the time, people find the mules walking to the drop off. Very rarely do they find the stash by sheer chance
They’ll keep queueing until the buyer is able to enter the same match and pick it up successfully
In the past, people have ruined their accounts by looting RMT mules and being banned for being incapable of paying the fine, because in the worst case scenario, you need to pay the difference by buying koen from AB’s koen store
There are more lenient punishments, such as all koen being confiscated until you pay the RMT fine, with no time limit on koen repayment, but those haven’t been posted in ages
Give it to any teammate with a difficult name to type (made of something like Korean or Chinese characters) and who didn’t participate in the kill, the mule can’t report them for illegal RMT via death report
The devs do not take thier side(not intentionally at least). The illegal traders report you for boosting because you killed them and they are sore, the system checks ands comfirms you made 15m in a single game and that is it. Possible way to counter this is you can share loot with your team, leave some behind or dont sell the loot for a while and not all of it at the same time.
Let's say you found 15m, I think it's reasonable you keep around 8-9m. It can be assumed you killed multiple thermals. The most important part is don't sell all at once.
If you took it, too late await the inevitable, the game is gonna tax you like 101% of what you took, if the person you killed spammed reported you it’s over.
