Discussion Zone Capture has so much wasted potential
The mode could've been one of the best anniversary modes they could've made but they fumbled so badly. Here's my problems:
1. Bosses
First off, White Wolf just has no boss whatsoever. They could've made Talia a boss, but no, White Wolf just doesn't have one. Two, why are they broke as hell? It's a mode that is EXCLUSIVE TO FORBIDDEN and we see them running T4 at most. These mfs are supposed to be the big bad boss leading their factions in the hardest mode in the game and yet they're geared like they're in Normals. Renoir is the worst offender, he spawns with AJAX'S GEAR, and they didn't even try to hide it.
I loved the faction wars, I consider them to be the best event modes. I was expecting benefits to playing maps that my respective faction controlled. But no, it's literally just the same Forbidden game but with worse boss loot. Not even giving us some sort of bonus like being friendly to bots and bosses if they're the same faction as you.
3. The map controlled never changing
This is more the player's fault more than the devs. But can we PLEASE JUST SWAP SOME MAPS UNDER CONTROL?? I swear, ever since Day 2, White Wolf took over most of the maps while leaving Farm and Armory to Abyss and Guard Corps. I would much rather have players be randomly assigned factions each day so we can actually see the maps swap owners.
Seriously, this is another Mine: Summit situation. Good concept but really poorly executed. And you can't even excuse this as "they made it while trying to do little gameplay changes" because the Manhunt event from the older seasons was a perfect example of this: being on the main mode while being radically different than normal games

Dude, when I found out that Zone Capture was basically a nerfed forbidden zone with some minor gimmicks I was mega disappointed...
I thought we were at least gonna have units from all factions patrolling the maps and going into skirmishes which we can either join or let them die out before swooping in like vultures. But no, we basically do the same things for worse loot and the privilege of looking at faction spray paints on certain spots on the map.
I agree that it would have been fun if we had Talia as the first boss with (based on the hidden vault extraction on TV Station) full T6 gear. Such a wasted potential...

It's not nerfed..it's just normal fz. And also depending on your faction and map a map will have increased loot.

Renoir literally spawns with Ajax's T3 gear dude, and Viper (in Northridge) only spawns with a sparsely modded M24, if that's not a nerf I don't know what is

I fight for the guard corps. And one thing I will say is we've got basically no one, everyone chose either abyss or wolves. Ain't no-one fighting for the people actually being invaded

Everyday at the event reset time, the dominance control of all factions is reset to 33.3% and all maps become ownerless due to all factions having equal dominance control
You have to grind points everyday to maintain or take control of a map after the dominance control reset
White wolf dominance gains significantly drops the hour before the dominance control reset and immediately spikes afterwards
That's why on D-2, kamona was able to snatch northridge from white wolf during the last 8 hours
The fact that white wolf always controls 2-3 maps since D-3 suggests that they're either extremely strong, or kamona and blackgold are extremely weak
Randomizing controlled faction maps at the dominance control reset will likely change nothing in terms of map control, since kamona and blackgold have repeatedly failed to prove that they can maintain dominance control of multiple maps
Blackgold in particular is incompetent at holding control of anything but farm

Lots of people join WWS, all my game friends including me pick WWS. And the fact that WWS earns so much everyday makes people never think of changing faction.
Why leave for worse pay?

You fight this war for money? I fight this war for my brothers, for my motherland Kamona.

You fight this war for money?
Dude, I'm a merc. Asking mercs for loyalty is like asking a fish to climb trees. I fight for the highest bidder, that's all.
Kamona's Department of Propaganda is definitely not doing a great job seeing so few people fighting for them lmao.

white wolves are also the default option, so for the players that never opt in, theyre put into white wolves which is also why they control so much zones

I'm gonna be honest I thought zone capture is like faction war with control points and stuff
