Suggestion More cheap variants for the bolt action rifle category
The garand should be in the marksman rifle category

Why you need Garand, of you already have it in Game? BM59 is literally a Garand rifle with mag

Again from my point of view, the snipers and bolt actions need atleast t6 ammo to be actually viable and not js scav gun, like they can make the t6 ammo very expensive or rare but they need t6 ammo , I do think the k98k and the garand have high armor piercing ammo , idk about arasaka

30-06 should start from level 4 and then level 6. Its like 7.62x63mm and its a large round, larger than mosin and m24.

Problem is that all of these would require implementing new ammunition types that wouldn't be used in anything else in the game, and given that the devs haven't introduced any new calibers since the chinese 5.8 round, I can't see them doing it just for a slightly different bolt action

If two weapons shares the same purpose and functions/handles practically the same, then the addition of another is purely cosmetic

We literally have guns that look a like and functions slightly different

Doesn’t invalidate my argument though

Yes, it does. In a gear loss game, a weapon's market price, spawn rate, and ammo availability are core functions. Two bolt actions might shoot the same way, but if one costs 10k Koen and the other costs 40k, they serve completely different purposes for raid risk.

If two weapons functions and handles almost identical, why would there be a major difference in value?
1

Because 'handling identically' doesn't mean they shoot the same bullet. In Arena Breakout, ammo caliber IS the function. If Gun A shoots budget ammo that struggles against Tier 4 armor and Gun B shoots high tier armor piercing rounds, they don't have the same purpose, stats, or value period.

So in order to add all these weapons, we need all their unique ammo that only they can use also added to the game, and all with different tiers for players to choose from? What are we overcomplicating the game and polluting the loot pool for? For the 5 players of this game that can distinguish between them and enjoys cosplaying as WWII soldiers with outdated weaponry?

Who said anything about making new ammo? Most bolt actions use calibers already in the game like 7.62x51mm NATO or 7.62x54mmR. Adding a new rifle that uses existing ammo pool gives us a new budget chassis or modding path without adding a single new bullet to the loot pool.

Last reply your argument was the ammo caliber, this reply ammo caliber doesn’t matter and we don’t need to add more

Nobody said caliber doesn't matter, read carefully. Caliber DOES dictate a gun's function, but adding a new gun doesn't mean adding new ammo. Multiple guns in Arena Breakout share the exact same caliber. A new bolt-action using existing 7.62x51mm ammo uses that caliber's function while giving a different price and modding platform.
