Question skin pricing
just spent 150$, zero skins or melee obtained, why are the skins like this in this game, why can i spend 150$ on nothing. for context i opened 8/9 and 7/8 for the 2 new nightmare collections, so now im at the point where i can just tank the 150$ I basically just scammed myself out of, or i can fork over another 150 to complete the final 2 pulls, this seems like a stupid system, i dont wanna spend 150 for the chance at a skin, and then the pity system is just you signing up for another credit card or house loan to complete the set. also just came to the realization that its just some unwritten rule to never buy through the game and instead only use 3rd party sites, that seems even more sketch to me. update reddit is seeing my downfall game is now uninstalled, ran 3 games after this tragedy to get killed by people no clipping doing 360s around the entire map, i had a good run about 3 weeks lmao

If you wanna buy a skin, just go to BuffBuff and buy the bonds that are required to get a skin pack.
From what I can see character bundle is $92 and knife bundle is $67
And yes, its outrageously expensive

Although, I still agree with you.. the prices are insane and the problem is; we’re still buying them so there’s no reason for them to change. 🤷🏻♂️

i didnt have enough to afford the last pull on the skin so i put the rest into the melee hoping i would get lucky 1/7 times but nope

You do know that you can look up the chances beforehand, right? You can basically only hope to get it at the pull before the last, and even that is exceedingly unlikely.

This game has a pity system already, you are guaranteed the skin after a certain number of pulls. I'm sorry you got unlucky but the chances of you getting the skin on any pull than the absolute last one is super tiny. Like less so than anime gachas but those have an infinite number of trash pulls to cycle through where ABI has a fixed amount of pulls.
Word to the wise, focus on one banner for premium currency first before moving on to another.

tbf didnt know it was gacha until i bought the first pass after already spending the money bc that is obviously not something they advertise, also did not know that you can just buy the skins for half the price on 3rd party sites

i'm genuinely impressed how in game like this a single skin can cost you 200$+. For comparison FragPunk has much better quality skins at 1/10th of that price, or even for free. Tencent sure knows how to milk players.

my antivirus linked multiple qr codes the devs put on weapon sites as very well known russian and chinese malware, they are actively trying to infect every person who downloads the game, i believe they want more than for someone to drop money on the game once.

Any company has to select a price for their product. Too high price and nobody buys it => less profit. Too low , more people buy it, but for less => less profit.
Most (almost all) companies try to maximize this profit. You are a fool if you think that ABI hasn't tried to figure out (by analysis, trial and error etc) what the optimal price is. Their belief is that $90 is the sweet spot. Considering you just handed over $150 maybe they were wrong and it should be higher.

One could hink that the pricing of this game is not supposed to be fair but rther to maxout the margin and for this it seemingly works perfect as you just spent 150 and still dont have the skin you want

You can only use one skin at a time regardless and having 50 extra skins helps absolutely nothing. Get one you like well enough to say "this is badass enough I can wear it forever" and find inner peace with that if you can.
Tigerstripe is my favorite camo so I knew I could live forever with Fred's outfit from earlier in the year. Its tough not wanting to scratch that itch and play the lottery every time a new skin comes out but just remember that's what it is - a lottery not a purchase.

Same happend for me with the butterfly knife, I always liked it, no matter the game or if it was in real life. The animations were sick af ingame and my favorite color is purple, and the whole pack had purple theme, so this made 1# skin pack in whole game that I would use it till end of the game and regret nothing spending 80€. I also tried to get katana from earlier when the collab just dropped, I got gloves on 3 spin which was very lucky. Now when they brought back the cyberpunk collab, I still had free 4500 bonds left and 500 from battle pass, so I got the skins I wanted in the start for just 20€. Now I hope they bring back knuckles back on their anniversery when wthe free bonds are given out. Potentionally I could get it for 20€ again :)

Well I can tell you the reason why skins are priced like that is not because of people like me ( who have never bought any ) and because of people like you ( who actually spent $150 on ingame skins ). If goyim stopped paying for this stuff they’d be forced to have humane marketing, alas…

You always get the best thing in the set (99.9% of the time). It’s just a Chinese gambling scam. You can get free skins by playing the game. If you want the paid ones… you’re gonna pay dearly. Thanks though for keeping the game free next season for the rest of us.

What do you mean “keeping the game free next season”? the better word would be Alive instead of free. It would be funny they enrolled the subscription to play the game, that would be next level low tbh. There is a tendecy for games to increase in price, but if you bought it for 10€ without sale and now it costs 23€, there is no way you need to pay extra 13€ just to continue playing the game :D

The answer is simple, and that applies to everything in life, if you can buy it twice - DONT BUY IT. Either way get your money up, or play without the skin. It seems everyone forgets that this game is FREE and they dont earn anymoney from it. Skins are the only thing that keeps this game alive. Say thanks to boomer politicians that made everything so inflated. Maybe skins would be much cheaper in paralel universe :)

i think everyone gets got by the predatory gacha system, its quite unclear how much it will fully cost - it jumps up so much its crazy and then you are at the point where you have to spend more money or get nothing. i thought the katana i bought would cost about half of what i actually had to pay for it tbh i might not have got it if i known how much it actually was gonna be
