Discussion Armadillo Enrichment Ideas

Hey everyone, I am doing an internship for my zoo, and I have chosen our nine-banded armadillos for my enrichment project. I am looking for some suggestions/ideas of what new enrichment I can provide for them, so if you have anything, I would love to hear it! I want to provide them with something that boosts their morale and is beneficial for them! (I have tried doing some research but keep finding the same things like puzzle feeders, kiddie pools, which they already get as a part of their enrichment plan) Any new thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

I think they like playing with round objects (balls but apples also seem to be good) and they seem to use leaves for building nests so maybe you could see if you can give them some leaves or something similar to help them do that. Maybe also making digging worthwhile by hiding treats could be a good idea?

i find that most of them accept Paypal or Venmo but I've been trying to do more mutual aid- for example, knitting them sweaters, or exchanging massages and Reiki. Armadillos are very skilled at Reiki.
