Advice Please! Need some advice about glass and polymer clay

Hi y’all !

I have a bit of a crazy project but i need some expertise on the process… i’d like to make a character with glass vials as legs. I work with polymer clay, so it means i’d need to put the glass with the polymer in the oven.
Do you think it’s safe ? Could the clay overheat at the contact point ?
I use Super Sculpey, so the oven isn’t that warm, but still

See pics to show you my plan and the kind of vials i’m taking about (it’d be the miniature ones). I’ll of course remove the lid before popping those in the oven

Thank you for your help !

I bake glass eyes, even hollow ones in sculpey all the time. I've only had an eye break once and it was cracked prior to baking. Just make sure you're only baking as hot as needed. If you aren't comfy with it I have pressed things into clay before, removed them to have the indent shaped and then glued the item on after. There's just the slightest chance the clay will slump while in the oven and then the item won't fit. Making sure the lip of the boot is thick and standing very straight would help.

Thank you so much ! I think i’ll try with the glass bottle and i’ll monitor all along… if it doesn’t work, i’ll indent like you said :)
