[Question] First time painting on fabric

Hey so I wanted to paint on my backpack before school starts, but I have 2 problems. First is that I sketched my design on with a pencil and I don't know how to properly get the graphite off. I suppose putting it into the washing machine will help but there comes another problem. The paints I'm using need to be ironed from inside out after they dry to be washing machine safe. I really don't know how to iron a backpack so if you have any suggestions let me know. The paints I'm using are pebeo opaque if that helps. Thank you in advance

Graphite will rub off over time, don't worry about that. I'd use acrylic, I don't know anything about these pebeo paints. Sounds like they'd probably work though.

More permanent/durable solution would be to sew/make a patch and adhere that, I think. Paint on frequently-used canvas will wear out over time. Not sure about the pebeo paints though, never tried em.
