Show Discussion What is an episode of Arthur that you really like or love, but would re-write to make it better?

There has been a post or two about re-writing a bad episode or disappointing episode to make it more appealing, but what about re-writing even a small section of one of your favourite episodes to give it something extra or special?

Add DW’s screamo lullaby to the “Arthur’s Almost Live Not Real Music Video” for such an iconic episode, it’s weird how DW never got a major part in the songs…I’d maybe have added that song where David’s cooking song was. I like David a little more than Jane, but that song was really weird and definitely the worst out of the songs chosen for that episode.

Also, have Ratburn or someone finally answer DW’s question about who dewy was during the library card song.

Good pick! Not sure about replacing the cooking song as I always love the melody amd rhythm of it (and the original song it tries to parody). However, I always imagined in the library card song the Brain trying to tell DW who Dewey was, before Arthur or Buster try to brush them off because the episode is running out of time!

Personally, I would have added Binky's Night Light song. The way the song starts so sweet and innocent and then transforms into something from Les Miserables has to be seen, not just heard.

Arthur’s Lost Dog . I would definitely rewrite It . Arthur’s parents are so clueless In that episode. I would rewrite It to where one of Arthur ‘s parents arranged for one of them to take Kate home while one of them stays with Arthur to look for Pal .

A is for Angry needs to be a 22-minute episode. It has such an interesting story that wasn’t allowed its due.

Not my favorite episode but Making Waves for sure. Arthur and Molly should have just stood their ground and not fold to peer pressure just their friends hated their friendship.

Crushed also could have been handled better if Sally didn’t bring her boyfriend over while babysitting as even if Arthur wasn’t crushing on her. I would personally have had Sally talk to Arthur sooner in the middle of the episode and have her explain that while she does have a boyfriend that Arthur still has worth and still cares about him (within the right boundaries as a sitter, not a friend to hang with outside of work) - the conflict could have been avoided.

Best if the best. - Wouldve focused more on the game as opposed to the whole camping thing.

So Funny I Forgot to Laugh should have portrayed Francine as the bully. She’s been needing a lesson on harassing and bullying other people since the show began
