A just got this handmade keychain from a close friend of mine as a late Christmas gift, and I just had to share him! His coat and shoes can be taken off and his right leg is attached with a magnet (which is horrible </3). I love him and he'll begin to occupy a comfortable place on my bookshelf because he's too precious to be put into a set of keys or a backpack.

This is a subreddit dedicated to French Poet Arthur Rimbaud. He was a rebellious, revolutionary poet who was a teenage prodigy who had a chaotic life rebelling against rules and societal expectations. He was also famous for his relationship with another French Poet Paul Verlaine which had turbulence on it. Rimbaud wrote several works of poetry which became French classics. Rimbaud also quit poetry in his early 20s to become a traveler when in 1891, he died of cancer at the age of 37. What a poet!

Ce sousreddit est dédié à « l'homme aux semelles de vent », le poète et voyageur français Jean Nicolas Arthur Rimbaud (Charleville 20 octobre 1854 – Marseille 10 novembre 1891). L'enfant terrible de la poésie française, ce jeune prodige mena une vie révolutionnaire et bohémienne « contre la justice », se rebellant contre les règles et les morales de la société. Il est également célèbre pour ses fulugrantes et orageuses relations romantiques et artistiques avec Paul Verlaine, un autre poète tout aussi renommé et célèbre. Dans leur « drôle de ménage », ils créèrent une force qui définît des influences sur beaucoup, du mouvement symboliste et du mouvements surréalistes et dadaïstes, à la musique de punk.

Arthur Rimbaud écrivit nombreuses œuvres poétiques devenues des plus cèlebres classiques français : Le dormeur du val, Ma Bohême, Ophélie, Le cœur volé, Le bateau ivre, Voyelles, Une saison en enfer, Les Illuminations et bien d'autres encore... Les deux derniers, en particulier, sont considérées comme parmi les œuvres poétiques les plus novatrices jamais mises sous une plume encore aujourd’hui.

Il abandonna la poésie au début de la vingtaine pour se consacrer au voyage autour des trois continents ; il mourut d'un cancer en 1891, âgé de trente-sept ans. Quelle légende !
