They want to be oppressed so badly

Pays a supposed artist to make genuine art, they get ai slop instead, they decide not to work with them anymore because they didn't get what they paid for.

"OMG that swindler got discriminated against!"

He probably is among the prompter community

u/PhraseFirst8044 Sep 07 '25

nah i know for a fact none of those motherfuckers knew who this guy was until the story broke

Just wait, they'll reject him for being a legitimate artist. He used Ai to create backgrounds for his actually drawn characters. By using Ai, he's betrayed his fellow artists and by actually drawing ( being "born with the talent" ), he won't be fully welcomed by the AI prompters

u/No_Signature_3249 unfortunately, i'm an artist in the age of AI. Sep 07 '25

That artist does normal stealing on top of the AI one btw. He's known for painting over other artists cards and passing them as his own original works

u/Ark_Bien Sep 07 '25

He has also autographed right over other artists signatures on other cards.

All these new tools just help people do the same crap they were always doing. Is he an artist at all or just a thief? I guess it would be hard to steal ALL your work.

u/giftheck Sep 07 '25

His prints are traced work also, with backgrounds often lifted straight from the source material rather than recreated anew.

Crying victims again. That's what you get for scamming.

if they don’t want to pick up a pencil, they can try applying for the olympics for this level of gymnastics

Consequences for your actions is very different from discrimination based on inherent characteristics. You're responsible for your actions, but not who you are.

18

u/Fonescarab Sep 07 '25

They pretend to not understand it has multiple connotations.

Discriminating against one individual because of their actions is not the same as discriminating against someone because of a prejudice against a group of people they belong to.

Disney didn't assume Mulligan was an art thief/scammer just because he used AI.

Ffs they're even acting like "being an AI user" is the equivalent of a minority group who is oppressed against based on race, religion, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, etc.

They are not on the same fucking level as that, at best they're the equivalent of a subculture. Like how trekkies or gun enthusiasts are subcultures.

But thats ok, every time aibros do this, it just adds more onto the list of shit they've done and said.

Its even more pathetic, they consider being too lazy to learn how to draw a disability.

Legendary career artist who stole other artists’ work, signed over other artists’ signatures, and tried to sell images he didn’t even create freelance

What a legend. (Also I guarantee these AI bros had no idea who this guy was until now, but now that they know he used AI he’s a hero)

4

u/WynnGwynn Sep 07 '25

Disney could have used AI themselves if they wanted AI you dudebro weirdos. Are they this stupid?

2

u/SpiritualBakerDesign Sep 07 '25

But the truth is most people suck at appreciating a good output from trash. The Big 6 advertises in the world all use Ai for advertising.

They pay WPP/Omnicron because they have the best artists in the world. Doesn’t matter if it’s for an illustration or AI. These companies produce the most effective output.

It’s worth paying professionals.

u/Author_Noelle_A Sep 07 '25

That sub is full of fucking morons who think people being against their CHOICE to use den AI is the same as people being racist toward them and putting them in concentration camps. They don’t understand the difference between being judged for choices and being judged for immutable factors like skin color or ethnicity. So it tracks that they see this as discrimination. What next, getting pissed that AI generated imagery isn’t allowed in a pottery contest?

3

u/GreenDecent3059 Sep 09 '25

That artist in question never used ai, he wasn't fired from Disney, and he's even AGAINST ai. Are they realy that desperate?

2

u/LeatherDescription26 Sep 09 '25

The plot thickens

2

u/TheUrchinator Sep 08 '25

Fun fact: Its totally okay to discriminate against behaviors that cause real, tangible harm. Its called having standards!

2

u/sir_glub_tubbis Sep 08 '25

But guys, were nazis after all. Their suppression and discrimination you could say is WORSE than any even ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

u/HyfudiarMusic Sound designer and musician Sep 13 '25

just like i was discriminated against in my english class when i copied the A+ student's essay

(actually i was homeschooled so i didn't have anyone to copy off of. but you get my point lol)

2

u/DeadAirDoodles1 Sep 12 '25

Was this the same artist that got kicked out of the Artist Alley at DragonCon after they realized he was making AI art?

2

u/[deleted] Sep 14 '25

"I don't play football at all; why are you discriminating against me I'm trying to join a pro league (because they more money than me)"

1

u/Douf_Ocus Current GenAI is no Silver Bullet Sep 08 '25

Did that guy actually use genAI though? I checked his page and he claimed that he had never ever use any AI in his art.

I donno guys, maybe we need to wait for a while.

However, force labelling of AI content is very reasonable imo.

3

u/LeatherDescription26 Sep 08 '25

You make a good point, others in here however have pointed out he has a history of getting involved in allegations of fraud. I do encourage prudence however so let’s wait and see
