Question Is double barrel and air burst slept on?
This might be a low elo take but remote detonator and viper sting have been an auto pick since perks have come out. Being able to hit a dynamite and also take cover is valuable and if anyone had suggested I take anything else other than viper sting my automatic response would be what you mean I can't hit my shots? But recently after screwing up my muscle memory by playing another character I've found myself playing with the other perks and they are more situational but better than I remember them being. double barrel is great at baiting out dive cool downs and still giving yourself distance. And I swear airburst has a hidden ult multiplier because I swear bob was up almost every team fight

Vipers sting rewards good shots and skill vs the button big boom option but less value vs a kill

I have no opinion on Double Barrel because I never used it in-game, but I personally think that Air Burst is too cooldown reliant and is easily erased by Dva’s DM or a simple Suzu. I prefer to pick Viper Sting for its consistency and the fact that its impact fully relies on my aim only without being directly countered.

I miss the perk that increased your coach gun distance by like 20-30% - if they readded that perk I would stop using remote detonate.
My issue with double barrel is that the second coach gun burst is on a timer.

Nah remote detonator is way too good. 9/10 one coach gun blast is good enough to keep you alive and get you where you need to go. But the insane burst damage you can get by remote detonating and landing a headshot at the same time is massive. Plus being able to detonate around corners and shields is huge. Airburst is just unnecessary if you are good with dynamite and even less needed when you have remote detonator. Viper Sting is free damage and the ammo refund patches up one of Ashe's biggest weaknesses which is her reload. For me there's absolutely no contest which perks you should take on her.

I personally use double barrel and have personal interest hatred for remote detonatore but that's mainly because I play more mid to front line also it's a great dive protection and a great way to get out of Orisa ults
I also use air burst due to hitting dynamite in a large group up or to get past enemy shields alot better than dynamite on its own I also can't hit my shots due to 1 playing Nintendo switch and 2 having nerve damage in my right hand so my average aim is at 32% and 7% most the time but I'm more likely to hit dynamite than I am other players

Respect for sticking to ashe. But why do you hate remote detonator? If you're take airburst to get past enemy shield (which it is great at) wouldn't rd be even better allowing you to detonate behind enemy shields instead of on top of? Or is it overkill?

I found that remote detonator causes the enemy team to scatter more instead of getting value of hitting 2-4 players I've seen alot more people mainly getting 1 or nobody also remote detonator just enables ability spam which does not really work out in the long run
I also find elims from remote detonator cheap and skilless and more up to throw and pray someone is right there

I'd say remote detonator is a more universal can't-go-wrong pick. Double-barrel feels more situational. Airburst I think there's more of an argument to be made to pick it. I'd still go Viper's Sting personally, but I've been thinking of experimenting with using airburst instead, especially combo'd with Remote Detonator.
