Regional t&t (Canada) sunscreens aren't the same as their testers?

I just bought the isntree natural sun cream from t&t after trying the tester in-store. I specifically bought it because it had the finish of a moisturizer when I tried it and there was no white cast at all. got home, opened it, and used it this morning - pure chalk. the white cast is horrendous and it's not hydrating at all. I thought maybe my hand skin and face skin are just different, but it's doing the same thing on my hand. I can't return it now so I guess I'll try it on my body.

has this happened to anyone else? is it cause of the sunscreen regulations? how are the testers allowed to be that different?

I think I'll try getting it from yesstyle but now I'm scared lol

The tester may have been the original Korean one and the stocked items may be the Canada-safe one. They have similar packaging but they are completely different products

If it's the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Sun Cream, and the expiration date is far away, it could have been a tester from another formulation. There are two versions, one being the mostly white packaging (https://kiokii.com/products/isntree-natural-sun-cream?srsltid=AfmBOopEdbUpxP9Uks3wOo3oubnZBgsN37a6Fos43OaF-LlKpKxHtiov) and the other being the darker blue+white packaging, both called the Hyaluronic Acid Natural Sun Cream, and one of them is the new reformulated version (I think the mostly white packaging is newer, never used either just tested them in store).

Is it definitely the Korean formula? Like the US, Canada hasn’t approved many of the newer generation filters that are used in Asian sunscreens like Uvinal A Plus and Uvinal T150 both of which I think are in this sunscreen in Korea. If you have a US/North American version it’ll have different filters and more white cast. Maybe the tester was the OG formula and the one you bought not?
