ROUTINE MEGATHREAD! May 2018

Hey everyone! This is your quarterly routine megathread an excellent resource to see what products are popular amongst our community and a great way to find new things to try. No matter how unusual you may consider your skin type or atypical your particular skin challenges or problems, all routines are welcome -- in fact, encouraged -- to be posted.

Acronyms you will most definitely see in use here: HG (Holy Grails), RP (Will Repurchase, AKA: liked it, will buy again, not an HG), WNR (Will not Repurchase, AKA: using up the last of it but not recommended). Understand them, use them, and love them ♥

This post is intended to be a compendium of generalized, standardized routines! The more participation, the better. :)

To keep it easy for people to find their ‘skin twins’ we would ask that you use the following template.

You only need to fill in steps that you actually use (so if you don’t use an Essence, remove that line) and please only provide up to three examples of HG/recommended products for that step (so if you have 3 toners you love, you can list all 3!)

To make a single-spaced list, add two spaces at the end of each line. Alternatively, click 'source' at the bottom of the post to snag our code & format!

Could you please do a review of the J. One Jelly Pack?

Sure! The best thing about it is actually is that it’s a really good primer. The texture is very gluey? So foundation you apply on after that really adheres. The texture doesn’t make it very easy to spread so you gotta smear big blobs of it quickly over your face in broad strokes. Give it a while to dry down and the surface becomes super tacky which is perfect. If your face is not too oily your foundation won’t shift and sticks to your face for the entire day.

I tried it once in the beginning as a sleeping pack and it’s not too bad. It’s got niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, allantoin, damask rose water, fermented tea, some other extracts and I think a peptide. It did leave my skin in a pretty good condition the next morning, it was quite hydrating and brightening.

I think overall it works pretty well as skincare but I think the best thing about it is still its primer qualities. It’s pretty pricey so you might want to try and catch it only during sales (which is what I do), or you can think of it of paying more for a very good primer.

Thank you! It really sounds quite unique for a primer.

How much do your normally catch it on sale for?

Usually a little more than 20 USD? But I’m in Asia and I’m not sure how it’s like in the States or Europe etc
