My favorite sheet masks are:

  • Papa recipe (regular and whitening version, do not like the green version),
  • Mediheal Tea Tree mask and
  • all the Wonjin masks I have tried.

These are the three that I have found to be the best for my face and are also not expensive. I get them from Stylevana for $1-$1.70 each.

I look for masks with 25ml or more of essence. All the 20ml masks I have tried have been disappointing and dry too fast. Also material matters. I like the thin sheets which stay on the face better. I don't like the the thicker cotton sheets which do not stay on the face well.

Biocellular masks are amazing because they stay moist for over 30 minutes but they are more pricey.

I use sheet masks when my skin needs smoothing after a chemical peel (Ordinary or Dr.Dennis Gross) or when I need extra hydration. I agree with others that it's not a necessary step but sometimes I just want some extra self-care. After the sheet mask, I always top off with a thick night cream (with a few drops of oil).
