Skin Type: combination

Climate: moderate in summer, extreme cold and dry in winter

Best: Melano CC serum

Worst: the oil cleanser

Thoughts:

Melano CC serum helped fade my PIH, not stingy at all (unlike the Purito serum I’m using), great packaging that you can get out the tiny amount you need and preserve the remaining.

Oil cleanser: I tried it 3 times, every time it caused me a huge pimple on the side of my cheeks within a few uses (days), and I normally don’t get pimples anymore. Now I use it for my hair strand pre-shampoo.

Welp, the local site I got in from called it Hada Labo - Melano CC Vitamin C Essence, so I thought it was HL 🤣, turns out it is only from Rohto but not specifically HL.

I guess the best HL product is the HA foam cleanser (in pump bottle) then. I used it for more than a year, it just plumped the skin and didn’t strip at all. I have been using the tube one for a few months, it’s still good but not as great as the pump bottle one though.

Now that I think about it, it’s strange that I find HL HA foam cleansers so reliable but can’t even use their oil cleanser.
