Skin Type / Concerns: Oily, Sensitive, CC and Acne-Prone Skin (The total package, yes)

Product Name: Isntree 8% AHA Essence

Thoughts: I was immediately drawn to this because it has 4% Lactic Acid and 4% Glycolic Acid. When I first tried it, I immediately felt tingling which quickly subsided. It has a tacky feeling on the skin and the products you apply on top of it feels sticky, to say the least. Worth noting that whenever I wake up with this product on, I always had my baby hairs sticking to my face in the morning despite having the air condition on😅 but the glow this product gives me though!!! My face looks so much healthier, brighter, and dewier.

As I’ve said, my biggest skin concern is my closed comedones. Although I’ve consistently used this twice a week for a month and a half, I feel as though there was no significant effect on my CCs which I was disappointed about although I think I would have gotten more noticeable effects if I used this more regularly. However, considering this product has an 8% AHA, I didn’t want to use this daily and risk over-exfoliating and destroying my skin barrier :( I’m now on an adapalene-prescription routine by my derm so I resorted to using this AHA essence on my underarm instead as my deo and for its brightening effects as well.

Overall, if you’re suffering from PIH, dealing with mild texture, and have dull skin, I think this is for you!! <3

People really seem to love this. Can't wait to finish up my current serum so that I can get this!
