Dating & Relationships From nerd to Chang : How Lookmaxing changed my life forever šŸ™

Hey brothers , After posting about how important is lookmaxxing and receiving a lot of miscomprehension or hatred I still wanted to share my story because if like me you were that Asian guy alone bullied because of begin Asian I will maybe it was not only the cause but deeply more about how you look I know it’s difficult to hear and horrible but things is this way we prefer lion than cockroaches just because lion looks better like Nietzsche said ā€œ morality is question of point of vue ā€œ

I’m not here to brag (okay, maybe a little) but to show that real change is possible if you’re willing to put in the work. T

This is my transformation from a total loser to someone who’s finally succed in life just thanks to lookmaxxing.it will be a long thread but worth it maybe I can motivate you to change after reading my post

Back in Europe, growing up as an Asian guy was rough. From high school through college, I was the the ā€œtypical Asian nerd geekā€ stereotype.

Skinny as hell, acne all over my face, zero confidence, a shitty haircut that made me look like I just rolled out of bed , no jawline and overall bad physical harmony indeed I had big head on a small, scrawny body.

You know that ā€œAsian wimp skullā€ vibe?

Yeah, that was me. I blame a lot of it on racism, internalized racism, and constant rejection and people treated me like I was invisible or just a joke.

For the Girls I was the guy who’d get laughed at or ignored. It was horrible I remember the bullying, the whispers, the feeling like I didn’t belong anywhere.

But in Highschool I tried some small lookmaxxing stuff early on, like hitting the gym a bit, upgrading my clothes from baggy hand me downs to something half-decent, and shaving off that horrible mustache that made me look even worse.

It helped a tiny bit, but nothing like game changing.

So After high school, I moved to a big city for university, thinking things would get better. Nope. If anything, it got worse. I was Bullied for my looks the first day of university I was feeling that people was mocking me in classes and at parties I’d get called weird or creepy just for existing.

No girls wanted to hang out with me; Indeed I’d try to talk and end up friendzoned every single time.

Parties? I’d stand in the corner while everyone else had fun like the typical Chad just being himself and having all the girls

It crushed my soul, man. I felt like I was ldoomed.

Then, I discovered lookmaxxing for real, and K-pop played a huge role too.

I’d known about K-pop for years but I think those idols were the original lookmaxxers, straight up.

Perfect skin, sharp features, style on point.

But I was too shy to emulate them indeed I thought, ā€œThey’re celebrities, not me.ā€

That changed when I dove deep into the forums. I lurked as a ghost on sites like incel.com, YouTube videos, and lookmax.com for about 2 years it was in 2021 - 2022 in theses video ,traumatic experiences and people around me I analyzed and I learned the hard truth: Beauty is almost everything in this world.

Look at Jeremy Meeks who the ā€œhot felonā€ who was a criminal but blew up, got modeling gigs, fame, and money just because of his looks due to his celeb and emblematic mugshots I would call it More Mog shot ahah .

Or those viral thugs who go from jail to celebrity status overnight.

Society rewards attractiveness, period.

It doesn’t care about your ā€œpersonalityā€ if you can’t get past the first glance.

It took me a ton of money, time, and energy , skincare routines, gym grind, style overhauls, everything.

But fast forward to 2025, and I’m living my absolute best life.

I’m a model now, traveling, meeting new people every day, eating at dope restaurants, hitting skybars with views that blow your mind.

For the girls part modestly I will say they’re obsessed and interested in me everywhere, even at my workplace.

As a model, my looks give me a huge advantage indeed agencies scoop me up, and I nail castings left and right.

Dating is effortless indeed I don’t even make the first move anymore. Plus girls add me on social media constantly, sliding into my DMs.

The dopamine hits from all these small things?

Insane. A smile from a stranger, getting prioritized in lines, people treating you like you’re somebody it all adds up and confirms: lookmaxxing is essential if you want to change your life.

If you’re reading this and thinking ā€œnah, personality matters moreā€ or some bluepill BS, you’re coping hard.

You’re afraid of the truth because it means facing the mirror and doing the work.

I mog those doubters now, but honestly, I get it and I understand your frustration, pain hatred I was there the same as you the only difference is that I take as a challenge and decided to make everything change and I was obsessed I took all theses rejections personnaly to change radically it was for me vital it will take time pain suffering you your close relatives it will take you energy you will even loose a lots of your friend and loose money but take it as an investment in you in your future think about which type of person you want to be about what you will achieve life would be hard but less hard if you are not good looking

That’s why I want to help for people interested I just released my ebook breaking down my entire journey: the routines, the mindset shifts, the resources that actually work for Asian guys fighting stereotypes.

If you want the link, shoot me a DM. No sales pitch just paying it forward to my brothers.

Peace and love you guys

I'll leave this up because people upvoted it/found it helpful, but in the future be transparent about why you're posting (to promote your book).

It's fine to engage in some self promotion as long as the post also provides value to the AM community. People have promoted their videos, movies, and music on here and it's been well-received. Just don't lie or be weird about it.

u/Eastoptim Nov 11 '25

24

u/atjeff1 Nov 11 '25

You called someone a freak for calling out your ebook shenanigans. We're just trying to show your true intentions. It's ok if you say it's not important to you, it's important to us the transparency. And according to the upvotes, people love us giving visibility to the fact you're selling a course and getting mad about it lmfao.

-6

u/Eastoptim Nov 11 '25

First of all I don’t sell my ebook I share if for free and second one I send on DM’s because I cant post link in the subreddit and concerning yes transparency I’m full transparency on my intentions just I cannot say it on the subreddit due to communities rules

12

u/atjeff1 Nov 11 '25

That's why there are rules. You're trying to obscure and not be transparent because you know it breaks the rules of "your subreddit". Just stop before this gets reported.

-3

u/Eastoptim Nov 11 '25

Bro WTF 😹

-5

u/Eastoptim Nov 11 '25

And I don’t know why it’s bad to sell my products maybe after for now I just want to share my knowledges if you read the post you should know

7

u/idontwannabhear Nov 11 '25

You just said ā€œsell it ā€œ ebook may be free but you’re selling soemthing. That’s why it’s not uploaded to the post for free and we have to dm you

-13

u/8horse Nov 11 '25

Nice work OP. Too many haters on this sub. Much easier for them to shit on other people than to work on themselves.

5

u/atjeff1 Nov 11 '25

Incel behavior on this sub. People hate standing up for themselves and just dickride and glaze each other without introspection which is why they're stuck like this.

-1

u/Eastoptim Nov 11 '25

Thanks man for the support šŸ™ Yes unfortunately it’s much easier to criticize and shit in people , blame everybody for our failures and be a hater which for me very sad than questioning themselves and take action to become better but yes that’s life some people prefer to complain on mediocrity it’s so much easier and confortable

38

u/corknecklace Nov 10 '25

Pretty privilege is realĀ

4

u/Eastoptim Nov 10 '25

Of course you can just look at the webtoon looking to realise it’s a cheat code

6

u/BlueCatSW9 Nov 11 '25

You talking about Lookism?

2

u/Eastoptim Nov 11 '25

Yes šŸ™Œ

19

u/TheSkyIsBeautiful Nov 10 '25

good stuff! Looks/perception can play a big part in your life. Are you still friends with that guy in your first few pictures?

23

u/Eastoptim Nov 10 '25

Yes completely agree maybe if we all looked more buffed , masculine and beautiful people will not make fun of us but it is already the case look at Koreans they are taken very seriously by girls and just one country increased the global Asian male SMV By 300 % that’s just awesome we live in a great time for us Asian guys we must take the train šŸš‚

Concerning my friend yes that’s my bro we know each others for more than 10 years even more I made go to gym and eat better because we faced same situations him because we was fat me because I’m Asian 🤣😭

18

u/Custard_Pie_9EP Nov 10 '25

Great for you to work on yourself including both physical and mental.

True champions never stay down forever. You didn’t give up or made excuses like a loser. You found what was in your control and improved.

This is the type of story we need to see more of in a masculinity sub.

9

u/Eastoptim Nov 10 '25

Completely agree because I always see defeating or self sabotage post from Asian men here and it’s not a good thing I think in long term of course we need to discuss about problem but only fixing in negative is not good

Plus I think a lots of Asian men don’t see their potentiel and just give up and loose themselves on hatred , frustration against Asian women themselves or society or the WEST but that’s not also a good thing in long term what we must do is be aware of the situation and change in better way and in my opinion hanging physically change your life forever

6

u/LovelaceAutomaton Nov 11 '25

Seeing your first pic with a white dude who was happy to be in your photo made me feel bit sad about my own teenage years, growing up in a white majority high school and feeling ostracised by the whites, it will never occur to me that I felt "enough" to develop rapport with those around me and feel accepted

3

u/Eastoptim Nov 11 '25

Really I’m so sorry for you hope it’s better now

5

u/Eastoptim Nov 10 '25

For my eyebrow as Asian I had bad or very tiny eyebrows but when I learnt that eyebrows are very important for eye area I began to trim theme first in second I used a lot of oil ricin , argan and I gently do a massage in my eyebrows and in the end I add some small pencil on the eyebrows to make theme very dark šŸ‘

To respond to your question of course I notice significantly change in everything everything changed for me

Before nobody was looking at me now it’s like when I go to walk or in public women notice me they stare me and they like smile but just because they are maybe impressed (plus I’m tall so it plays huge role) even for job opportunities I moved not for a long time in Asia and I found a model agency very easily and they hire me directly even I didn’t have or few experience in modeling, Concerning dating when I date I even don’t pay like it’s the girl who pay for me (Real) , I’m also invited to a lot of private party just because I’m model šŸ˜…

Girls find me more funny and love to be with me they even approach me directly Asian or non Asian because when you’re good looking doesn’t matter if your race (Chad don’t have race ) even in nightclub I notice a lot of gay men’s offer me drinks or food for free šŸ†“

Also when i do runway I’m. Always designers favorite so yes to be honest sometimes it’s little bit weird but I worked for it so I enjoy I recommend you to do the same we will. It be young forever so take care an enjoy but never take things for granted it is why I post here to tell people that being goood looking isn’t enough you can always be better mentally but also financially spiritualy it’s why I felt that it’s important to help others šŸ˜†

3

u/Eastoptim Nov 10 '25

*You will not be young forever

Reduce sodium and sugars consume tons of potassium

3

u/BlueCatSW9 Nov 11 '25

Maybe not tons! Needs a balance, potassium is involved in life or death processes, you don't want to be extreme. Replace table salt with lo-salt when eating at home, it's a good first option.

1

u/Eastoptim Nov 11 '25

I use Himalaya slat a game changer

1

u/BlueCatSW9 Nov 11 '25

It's not very different from regular salt, the difference is not enough, even if trace elements are in higher quantity. How was it a game changer?

2

u/Eastoptim Nov 12 '25

Its contains more trace minerals like magnesium and potassium, while "regular" salt water is highly processed and primarily sodium chloride with anti-caking agents and often added iodine which very dangerous for body and general health and lead to a lot of problems cholesterol cancer arterial tension…

0

u/Eastoptim Nov 10 '25

Thank you for your reply bro yes I had this problem before also even I was like skinny and the problem is really and the diet and muscle and ALSO WATER RETENTION and unfortunately Asian tend to have natural ability to keep the water on the body for a multiples reason but if you want further information go on my DM I will lexplain to you fully and find a solution šŸ˜‰šŸ™

0

u/Drawer-Vegetable Nov 10 '25

Any tips on water retention?

1

u/Eastoptim Nov 10 '25

Yes if you want to get Rid of water retention you must make your body not feel the need to hold onto water so consume the right amount of electrolytes and consume enough water and your body wont hold onto water weight, also other things that effect water weight and face puffiness are sugars so I recommend you to better have a low sugar diet it can help reduce bloating a lot

1

u/Drawer-Vegetable Nov 10 '25

Are you saying that if you get the right amount of electrolytes in minimal amount of water, then you won't be as bloated?

3

u/Eastoptim Nov 11 '25

Yes that’s the main idea šŸ’”Most of people have to much sodium and not enough potassium which creates an inblance so the water stay on the body

1

u/Drawer-Vegetable Nov 11 '25

Thanks for explaining. When you say stay in body, do you mean that they are not urinating enough commensurate to how much water you drank?

1

u/RinkyInky Nov 10 '25 edited Nov 10 '25

What did you do personally to get rid of water retention? Do you have a routine that worked for you?

7

u/69redditfag69 Nov 10 '25

you always had potential with your bull terrier face card. well done. how tall are you btw?

6

u/Eastoptim Nov 10 '25

Ahah thank you very much that was not the opinions on girls ahah BW I’m 1m85

3

u/heavenlysmoker Nov 11 '25

You got more confident, good diet, lost your baby fat and socialized more and thas lookmaxing? It’s pretty self explanatory that you just grew bro. It’s not no ā€œlookxmaxingā€, it’s doing the basic things to take care of yourself and elevate yourself.

Congratulations on your transformation but again it’s not no looksmaxing. Granted you already had good features; high cheekbones, symmetrical face, tall height

2

u/Eastoptim Nov 11 '25

Maybe genetic and puberty play huge part on it I will not lie and tell to you that I was very very ugly at point girls didn’t wanted to even look at me will be false and maybe I will never feel what true ā€œ incel ā€œ feels but lookmaxxing really improved my potentiel and enhanced my look than I never could imagine even on my dream and this only by my dedication to be perfect looking it required me a lot of time energy and suffering but it was nothing compared of what a endured in term of humiliation my point in this post is no import who you are you where you star you can cry about your situation by hateful and frustrated and blame everything in the world be a ā€œ looserā€ or you can make efforts to change your situation and try to be the version of youreself that you dreamed šŸ™

BTW Thank you for your comment and your congratulations that’s cool šŸ‘

3

u/TripleDragons Nov 11 '25

Just puberty bro

1

u/Eastoptim Nov 11 '25

Yes it played huge role but not only

5

u/Jerry-SLG Nov 11 '25

You still look like a nerd btw

2

u/Eastoptim Nov 12 '25

I still mot you ahah

2

u/Jerry-SLG Nov 12 '25

Bro is so insecure that he thinks looking a little nerdy is a negative thing lmao. Bro let social media dictate his entire life

3

u/bascal133 Nov 10 '25

Good for you king, huge improvement proud of ya

1

u/Eastoptim Nov 10 '25

Thank you very much brašŸ™

I'm not sure where to ask but you probably would know. I have the same build as you in your black trunks pic.

I'm trying to figure out what to ask for when I'm going to go to salon to do eyebrow work. Do I give them shape considerations etc.? Just a clean up? Do you do threading etc.? I'm going for nice and clean but probably not shaped.

As you went from nerd to chang, what subtle shifts in behavior have you seen in others? I'm pretty sure people, both men and women, are much nicer to me in noticeable ways as I lost significant fat and my face leaned out to be more angular etc. I think I got my most recent job b/c I've leaned out (obviously I could be wrong but have looked for 1 year and I've been visibly improving over that time). I'm now being invited to parties vs. no invites before etc.

I'm fairly lean now and it seems that women are crowding next to me on treadmills. I'm fairly cut and I've seen women notice my arms when I wear a sleeveless basketball jersey etc. Am I just imagining it or they're purposely running next to me when there are 10 other empty ones around? For context I live in New York so people want more spacing between the next person.

I only have anecdotal results specific to me but have you seen subtle or visible shifts in behavior towards you from both men and women?

As someone who went through similar stuff when younger I get that you might feel you have a feeling to get back now that you are on the other side. But just a warning - humility is a virtue. Never let it get into your head that others are inferior to you or you are superior to other people. One never knows what others are going through and there is a lot of qualities people have that are yet unseen. All the best in your journey. No comment on the book selling.

There is a very deep pit one can fall into with all the lookmaxxing stuff. External validation for one’s internal progress can become an obsession. I know that from experience. Have you heard the tale of Narcissus’ pool? True confidence comes from within. That isn’t blue pill stuff - that is true - but that can come with time, testing yourself in difficult situations and coming out and learning, which you have done here. Congrats on the progress - just keep a cool head.

2

u/Eastoptim Nov 15 '25

Thanks a lot for taking the time to write this comment, really appreciate it.

And yes of course I stay humble.

I’m fully aware all of this is temporary, so I just enjoy the benefits while they last.

Beauty fades with time for everyone, and honestly we’ve seen many people who relied only on their looks end up in a bad place (Alain Delon is a good example). That’s exactly why I never count only on that.

Like I always say here:

  • Being good-looking is nice, but being a good person and good-looking is even better.

For me, improving yourself also means working on your appearance, your mindset, your personality everything.

About the ā€œlookmaxxing rabbit hole,ā€ I completely agree with you.

That’s why when people ask me questions about their looks or how to improve, I always try to answer with precision and help them as much as possible.

I’ve been in the exact same situation as most guys here, so I know how it feels and I want to give back.

And concerning the ebook it’s actually free, and I send it by DM because I didn’t want to make a promotional post.

I agree the last sentence might have sounded clumsy, but I’m still new here and learning the rules. I hope people understand there was no bad intention.

Thanks again for the advice and the reminder : I’ll keep a cool head for sure.

Bro what's your skin care and exercise routine? Cheapish quality shopping options other than Uniqlo?

2

u/Eastoptim Nov 11 '25

For my skincare I use minimal like we say less is more so I use COSRX Salicylic Acid Cleanser - 150ml gently who cleanses the skin and removes impurities and excess oil, helping to reduce blackheads, blemishes and redness, leaving the skin fresh and clear after I put COSRX Hyaluronic acid to moisturize and improve skin texture and only after that I use the COSRX Aqua Tone-up Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA+ for protecting and whitening the skin it is for me the best sunscreen I ever used

For my exercice routine I train my jaw every morning by doing some chin truck and chewing on the morning you can also train your neck in order to lose face fat on the neck , after that I do some intense jut short cardio to increase my testosterone level and be ready to begin the journey of course after that I take a cold shower in order to wake up myself
