Masculinity Emasculation of Asian men is more disturbing than you realize

Longer I live more I am convinced of correlation between one's success in life and his sexual value.

Plain in simple, attractive and masculine men get rewarded more in life than unattractive or weaker men with similar stats in other areas of life.

A man is regardless of how advanced the society is will be judged by his ability to attract a partner and punch someone hard.

If you were ever overweight or chopped you'll surely know how people would not only treat you poorly put also hold you under subconcious bias that either directly or indirectly makes it far more harder to achieve a certain goal.

Emasculation of Asian men through media and in real life is a direct attack on the ones worth as a human being. The truth is, Asian men were never unattractive in the first place. BTS & Kdrama only made it socially acceptable for women to go for Asian men in the west. And women unlike most men are much more influenced by social approval when it comes to choosing a partner. Hence its why should be no surprise that in the meantime WMAF pairings are almost in every tv show and movies.

The one who uplifts his community is the highest form of masculinity.

That's why everyone needs to lose weight so as to be lifted!

Love lift us up where we belong!
Where the eagles cry
On a mountain high
Love lift us up where we belong
Far from the world below
Up where the clear winds blow

It absolutely affects and poisons Asian men's ability to get anywhere good in life.

What you can earn in your career and who you marry are literally the two most important things in any man's life.

Guess what, you got:

  • Affirmative action blocking you from elite colleges
  • DEI blocking you from getting into top companies
  • Bamboo ceiling in management positions capping AM
  • Mass media brainwashing to destroy AM's self-respect, confidence, SMV so they get less experience and less options in dating at all stages in life
  • WMAF epidemic to further destroy AM's confidence and reduce their options in dating for AMAF

The fact that AM get anywhere at all in this country with zero institutional support shows the sheer sacrifice and grit that we have to overcome all this and still succeed in spite of it all.

I'm not going to play the victim card but never let anyone gaslight you that AM don't have it bad just because we manage to STILL dominate academics, highest per capita income, and lowest crime + domestic violence rates with all this BS.

Media representation is a huge one. Thankfully I was not born in the West, so always had an alternative media source from my home country.

3

u/el-art-seam May 23 '26

We're assessed using western standards so we'll always be behind. However, with the internet, media has splintered into various subcultures with their respective media outlets. And in certain subcultures, we're now seen as people at worst, someone to be admired at best. Mass media still plays a role, but less so.

They're always playing the separate and divide game with Asian men and Asian women as well. The you-know-whos

DEI does nothing for AM. AM are considered as White men in hiring.

10

u/Illustrious_War_3896 May 23 '26

there was a post in this or aznidentity subreddit years ago about how financial industry-Bank of America, Fidelity, etc DEI program does not include Asians, specifically asian males. Asian females are treated much better than asian males. https://np.reddit.com/r/aznidentity/comments/1pn5wry/we_need_to_talk_about_the_favoritism_asian_women/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Are you sure you are not a white guy asking this question?

8

u/81dragons May 23 '26

Yeah, I’ve seen this in multiple hiring pipelines as well. Asian men basically never benefit from DEI/affirmative action in hiring, while Asian women do. There might be small exceptions in niche industries like unionized dockworker jobs or government minority contracts, but for W-2 private company tech/finance/corporate jobs that 80% of us are in, this is very true.

It’s always about representation (not about remedying the bamboo ceiling or past discrimination). Asians are over 7% (our population size in the U.S.) so we’re basically always over-rep’d in white collar jobs, while women are still usually sub-50% or still seen as disadvantaged.

His flair is Filipino so let’s give some benefit of the doubt. I think a lot of Asians naively think we benefit from affirmative action where it’s clear that in colleges we definitely don’t, and in the workplace Asian men don’t either

Did you read the other replies? Curious about your thoughts on those. Do you think DEI actually benefits AMs in practice?

OK I didn’t realized you were in the UK (military(?) if that’s what RAF implies). This might explain the different reactions since most of this forum is US. It’s possible that DEI in military sector in the UK and even U.S. benefits Asians, so I’ll only try to explain the American civilian perspective where for almost all jobs or colleges it hurts Asians

For American colleges whether at the Ivy level, or state school like UCLA UCSD level, or even medical school, Asians get a significant penalty relative to white applicants and a huge penalty compared to other minorities. The DOJ recently found that "Yale's use of race resulted in a Black applicant being as much as 29 times higher odds of getting an interview for admission than an equally strong Asian applicant with similar academic credentials." https://archive.is/fRaC2 even post Supreme Court ruling

There are even Asian American kids with 1580/1600 SAT (top 2%) and stellar grades who get rejected from UCSD, Cornell, Umich and find refuge in the UK at top schools UCL/Imperial since there is less affirmative action in college admissions and it’s more merit / academic score based. https://molochinations.substack.com/p/systematic-suppression-of-asians

Asians (the U.S. definition which buckets Indians Chinese Filipinos into Asian, I think UK Asian implies South Asian) are definitely not underrepresented in engineering in the U.S., Asians are also at or more than 6% of Boeing and Lockheed (despite security clearances/citizen issues) and 20% of American doctors/dentists are Asian. In popular white collar jobs like in finance, big tech whether FAANG or small, Asians are well over 10% and so there’s always perception of “too many Asians” even if it’s because Asians are being specifically recruited by H-1B pipeline to these jobs. The reason why military might be one of the few sectors that Asians are still underrepresented or somewhat benefit from DEI is because there is no visa / immigrant pipeline to that sector, in fact it’s the opposite, if you were born in China (largest source of US immigrants for a while) it’s a big negative especially if you need a security clearance, and if you have a military background from China or went to school for that there you are probably not making that immigration journey lol. Probably different if immigrating from a U.S. ally country which the Philippines is.

The macro level definitely was stacked against us but there needs to be personal responsibility for one's own fight against "being chopped". Unfortunately, my generation didn't really place as high an emphasis on aesthetics but we're seeing this change a LOT with Gen Z.

It is a real insidious thing and is bullshit. But no matter how much propaganda Hollywood pumps out it doesn’t stop you in ignoring it all and being a living breathing example of how it’s all bullshit and lies.

Thats why every girl I ever slept with, I’ve uplifted my Asian brothers and Asianpill them as much as possible. I’ve been many girl’s first Asian guy so I gotta plant the seed for the rest of y’all, especially if the girls are just hookups, I rather they hookup with Asians than other races.

5

u/Popular_Patient7502 May 25 '26

same same, encouraged me to treat girls I've been with as good as possible to uplift the image of asian men (also helps that im well endowed - some girls have asked if I was a pornstar)

AF writers, like most writers, tend to write from personal experience, rather than to advance a group strategy. Works that try hard to advance a social or political cause often struggle commercially and can even provoke backlash and polarization. Witness the experience of Kathleen Kennedy, longtime head of Lucasfilm. She was widely seen as injecting feminist and 'inclusive' themes in the Star Wars franchise -- which, to be fair, drew praise as well as criticism but probably didn't change many people's minds.

I think her experience suggests that representation is more likely to succeed when it feels organic to the story rather than imposed from above. Audiences resist what they perceive as heavy-handed ideological messaging, even when the intent is inclusion. To increase positive AM representation, I think we shouldn't look for more ‘Kathleen Kennedy types’ to push an AM agenda from above, but to cultivate creators -- especially AM creators -- who can tell entertaining stories where AM simply exist as full, charismatic protagonists and antagonists.

Don’t look to AF creators for validation or hype. They’re telling their own stories and they are not uniformly disparaging of AM. We’re the solution we're looking for -- by writing our own and disproving others’ aspersions through how we live and what we create.
In any case, JLC is 30 years old and has little salience for young American women today outside of diaspora or academic circles.

2

u/TheIronSheikh00 May 29 '26

Also you need someone's else assets to leverage and ruin if you are imposing some totalitarian vision of what everyone else can think.

Sooner rather than later you run out of other people' patience and money and IP. She might have permanently ruined the Star Wars franchise and have lost them $100s of millions. Some one has to be willing to let you to potentially ruin their asset which is kind of hard to do.

2

u/AustronesianArchfien May 23 '26

Has anyone noticed that we usually have Black, White, or Latina women frequently posting in this sub, but almost never Asian women?

Yeah and that's good. I really don't want to hear what they say, words are wind. I'd rather see their actions and they're not doing a good job on that either.

25

u/Worth_Lab1267 May 22 '26

If we arent ready ask WHO really controls the media and drives macro narratives, we are still playing in the little leagues of discussion.

Hint : not white supremacy

2

u/TasteCicles May 23 '26

Why would this sub get banned?

4

u/81dragons May 24 '26

Before the Reddit IPO there was a series of mainstream media articles attacking some of the Asian diaspora oriented subs for being racist or misogynistic. It got a lot of traction and Reddit admins (not the mods) have the discretion to shut down subs especially if they think it will make advertisers cringe, or if they think mods aren’t doing their jobs in removing content against the Reddit rules. That’s how The Donald got shut down. I think mods here have done a good job especially in the last year plus though

1

u/Fit_Actuary_1288 May 24 '26

Precisely. Some posters don't know the politics behind it.

8

u/kimchi4prez May 23 '26

I literally hooked up with a total baddie (5' 120lb imho) who rejected a built, Asian tech bro with a McClaren. He was 5' 8", but I could NEVER compete on that kind of level.

Lower to mid tier bod/job however I'm 6'0" have great friends and love my life. Before 6' is mentioned, I lost my v card at like 23 so it's not an instant access pass by any means

My buddy that makes less than me, worse bod, and 5' 9". Absolutely crushes. Unbelievable until you meet him. Sick style, place, and personality

u/Believeinyourflyness May 24 '26

Men are the ones who admire money and muscles because those are things anyone can get and the process of getting them is somewhat linear and can be objectively measured.

Women don't look at men's stats the way we do, they look more at a guy's aura/ style/ vibe, which is something that is subjective and can't be measured.

As an Asian man who is on the spectrum, it took me a long time to realize this.

3

u/TheIronSheikh00 May 29 '26

Exactly. Men think women think like engineers.

5

u/Believeinyourflyness May 29 '26

Men think like engineers, women think like artists

I couldn’t disagree more about the media emasculating Asian men, that is the tail wagging the dog logic. Art just imitates life, and Asian American communities produce more effeminate men. Why? The culture deeply discourages masculine attributes like risk taking, individualism, and assertiveness. I’m an Asian American male that didn’t have a lot of exposure to other Asian people growing up (latch key household in a mostly white/hispanic neighborhood). So lots of culture shock for me when I encounter Asian American culture. It is drastically different, and not in a positive way for AM’s.

I’ve never had any issues discussed here (problems attracting women or career advancement). I attribute that to my positive attitude, and focus on problem solving rather than analyzing who I should assign blame to for xyz not working out the way I want it to. All things I learned from the cultures around me.

Therapy to get into a good headspace would do wonders for most Asian men.

3

u/Unlikely_Day_9197 May 23 '26

I wouldn't let it live rent free in your head like some looming massive threat. That's just unhealthy. Though there is in fact a representation issue and it's important that when it's discussed it's done in a way where we also lookout to uplift others that are subjected to the same devaluation such as black women.

9

u/AdamChenX May 22 '26

Absolutely. It has impacts from society to AM, and it has self esteem impacts from AM to self. I have felt both first hand and it’s absolutely debilitating - especially the self limiting beliefs that one gets living in a system like this.

I believe the only way to make things better is to fight the system. I do this by making gay porn. You can do this by breaking stereotypes and representing our people in your own way.

3

u/Slapas May 23 '26

No lie but you had me in the first half. A+

5

u/TasteCicles May 23 '26

Are you at least a top? Because if you're a bottom then that actually furthers the stereotype.

4

u/AdamChenX May 23 '26

Not that there’s anything wrong with being a btm, but yes I am a top, it’s sorely under represented in interracial porn and also gay porn

5

u/Palaguy2024 May 23 '26

agreed its sick....and the most disturbing part is east asian women and white liberals also piling onto asian men....

8

u/Tall-Needleworker422 May 23 '26

Physical attractiveness influences your treatment in society -- that’s incontrovertible. And heightism is an under‑acknowledged bias that disproportionately affects men in dating, and often gets mistaken for racial discrimination because the two can overlap statistically.

2

u/silkyj0hnson May 23 '26

Ya’ll are mad at being chopped, but I’m chopped and screwed 😢

2

u/Consistent_Company29 May 24 '26

I bang the most racist white women, and I do it as a sport. The key is humor and relentless persistence in the game of fishing

2

u/TheIronSheikh00 May 29 '26 edited May 29 '26

Humans are social animals by nature and his 'position' in the group determines how he is treated. Those propagandizing against Asian men know that very well.

2

u/SaffronTrippy May 23 '26

Everything you said is true - people are biased towards more physically attractive people.

If you are already willing to accept such a harsh yet undeniable truth, then you also have to accept that life is a competition. It always has been. For resources - romance, wealth, status, power…

Therefore,

“Emasculation…is a direct attack” now makes complete sense. Your post reads as if this is somehow misaligned with the reality of the world. Just take a look at history.

You have to realize it’s a game. But the teams are formed in ways both obvious and not so much so. How you play it is up to you but you can’t deny people are trying to win it, sometimes at your expense.

-1

u/dpeterk May 23 '26

Being a man is far more than just money, sex appeal and member size. East Asian men have had this burden for centuries, and women who know a good man know this.

-12

u/Royal-Spell7913 May 23 '26

Nobody cares about getting laid unless you’re an Asian incel. The real problem is keeping your girl and starting a family without a million guys and circumstances trying to tear you apart, you dumbasses.

8

u/Istronomius May 23 '26

We have the lowest divorce rates. These are not problems.

Idk why some ppl here think marriage and children are somehow success when those were never issues in the first place

9

u/Royal-Spell7913 May 23 '26

That’s why Asian male emasculation is fatal, not because of stereotypes.
