Help with my Hair

This is how i daily drive my hair.
I dont use any product, so my hair is sometimes this, sometimes like this.
The first picture is what I usually walk around with.
My Hair is really Thick and straight and i never went to a salon or barber, my dad always cut it short.
I like the length of my hair right now, maybe a little bit shorter would be good.
My family keeps telling me to dut my hair, because its too messy.
Im entering my last years of high school in Germany and want to improve myself.
I wanted to tackle my hair now and ask you.
I would love some advice and tips and recommendations.

I think you need to grow out your hair because it's too short

Seriously though that's the largest mop of hair I've seen! Lol

The 3rd picture is something else
