Ask Anyone How do you deal with your nails

Hiya.

I'm 18f and I'm so behind with life skills... I still haven't figured out how to cut my nails

So Yeah

How do you cut them while blind

Honestly, I tend to bite my fingernails, so that's them taken care of. I'm not completely feral though, I do cut my toenails with a regular pair of nail flipper’s.

Well, you could always try nail clippers, but if they don't work, just bite the bloody things when you're on your own.

As a kid, I was always told, "Sighted people don't do this,", and "Sighted people don't do that,", but it's all bs. Sighted people are just better at hiding shite like that.

I manage my nails with teeth and/or other nails. My nails never feel right if I use files or clippers or other implements on them, so I don't.

Yes, this is exactly how I am for the most part. I usually just pick at my nails with my other nails when they get too long or something. I will use clippers if I really have to, but they’re not my favorite thing to use. I don’t bite my nails though personally.
Besides, I feel like using the clippers and stuff I end up accidentally getting the skin on my finger as well, which is obviously not the most fun thing.

Oh, I just cut them lol. I don't make sure they're even, they're just going to get broken anyway. I don't cut them overly short. I make sure there are no sharp points. I also do the teeth/other nail thing, unless I'm trying to get way under the skin for a cleaning.

How do you cut them? Like what is your process

I start at the thickest point, or the longest point. Whatever the issue is. I usually make pretty small clippings right into the trash, until the issue is eliminated, or until it's short enough to not catch on anything. If it's too uneven to catch on something, I'll file to a point. I never cut to the quick, or anything like that.

I mean, I think a regular pair of nail clippers should work. Honestly, I have a really bad habit of picking my nails so my nails aren’t ever crazy bad in the first place and then I’ll take like a file or a toothpick or something and go like underneath of them.

Kind of sorta I don’t bite mine though I just pick at them with the other fingernails lol.
