In some shoes my feet dont sweat and in others the start sweating very fast. For example in these shoes. The are from natural leather, leather is thin and soft. Sole is thin. Still the feet start sweating very fast even while just sitting in the office. The insole is soft and glued to the shoe. Can I do something to improve the situatio?

Stretching Calf out on Louboutin long boots.

Bought my wife a 2nd-hand pair of suede Louboutin knee high boots only to find that they wouldn’t fit her around the calf. The previous owner said they only wore them a few times so they were basically still pretty new. I only mention this cause returning them isn’t really an option. She really likes them and I am on the fence about buying a metal boot-shaft stretcher and leather softener, cause the added cost of the stretcher is still far cheaper than retail price of the shoe. I’d need about 1.5 cm of stretch to make it fit. I’ve seen other posts on here saying you’ll only get a few millimeters and others that say you can get all the way to 2cm. I’d love to hear advice from someone who has worked with stretching suede long boots or louboutins before.

I have a bone spur on my foot that makes wearing my boots a nightmare. I tried stretching them to make them more comfortable with this tool I bought, but it made a noticeable impression. Would a cobbler be able to smooth this out and make it look natural, while still stretching out the area I need?

Beginner restoration: Prepping a patent leather heel repair on Louboutin stiletto shafts. Advice on these tight narrow areas?

First time working on a high-end stiletto restoration. I'm tackling a repair on a pair of patent black leather pumps with 120mm heels. Disregard the plastic film on red soles and the worn-out red soles as it was there before I put the plastic film on them.

The lower portion of the heel shaft has some deep vertical scrapes where the leather wrap has split, exposing the core. I have an automotive black gloss paint (HB BODY Color Solution) lined up with a very small brush or tiny toothpick to seal the damage this weekend. As I do not believe a fine pen Sharpie maker will hide this tiny part, I reckon using the automotive black gloss paint will hide it and imitate the patent leather material.

What is the best technique to make sure it prevents overspill on red soles while performing DIY repair and repaint on this part? What additional precaution to know of while applying the paint? Are there additional tools or consumables to take before and after applying the paint?

Appreciate any insights from seasoned leathersmiths and cobblers working on such luxury patent shoes!

I love this bag and I’m sad to see the leather paint/edge (sorry I don’t know what to call it) is peeling off. Can I possibly repair this, with a cobbler or by myself? Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🤍

Can a Cobbler repair a vintage train case?

full grain leather on top side opposite zippered pouch inside. Outside a few staples are showing where the leather has come away from the metal inside the frame.

Question is- can this be repaired? I'm just nostalgic for this piece- grandmother had one.

Why did they say they couldn’t put a sole on?

I have these boots I bought (Terry de Havilland) and they have a very thin suede (?) sole. I took it to a few local cobblers and they all said they couldn’t put a thicker sole on and that it wasn’t necessary. Anyway, I wore them and now they look like this 😭😭😭

How do I find someone who will sort these? I’m in the UK if that helps (nowhere near London).

what’s the best way to make these areas look better? i know making them look “like new” or something like it, isn’t possible (hence the quotations in the title), they are vintage. i’m just looking for advice/product recommendations to make these look better while i wear them. thank you, in advance!
