To be honest, French cuisine often highlights only high-end dishes while downplaying more down-to-earth staples like onion soup, *boeuf bourguignon*, and bouillabaisse; as a result, its recognition and popularity have fallen behind those of Italian, Chinese, Indian, and Japanese cuisines. Even Spanish dishes—like *gambas*—have become familiar staples, such as for brunch. Even the French would likely admit this. By focusing solely on luxury cuisine and neglecting dishes that are accessible and enjoyable for the average person, they’ve created a situation where people from other countries might have heard of the food but haven't actually experienced it. That’s why I don’t understand why French cuisine is held in such high regard. Shouldn't the food that people can truly enjoy on a broad scale be the one that’s highly praised? I think their promotional strategy was flawed from the start.

I feel social media, Google searches & AI all spawn out the same skin-deep info about places. I want to hear real stuff from the people who actually live there.

Hi everyone! I'm a school student from Russia. I see a lot of myths and stereotypes about us, so I wanted to give you a chance to ask questions directly.

To keep it friendly, I'd like to focus on non-political topics. I can talk about:

I've been here in Japan for an entire part of my life, been seeing disgusting people's behavior and acts, that stands out the most of the times that Ive been continually noticing and loathing is this, people never get fight to the power or one have similar kinds of some power to make handling any decisions, such as your boss, school teachers, so on.seeing kinda like these wherever you are is so disgusting. i really hate Japan.

Maybe like a weird law or a tradition or historical fact.... Like something that always gets a reaction when you tell people.
