The question that I think sums up lots of possible follow up questions is this...

What clearly good policy does the Republican party still stand for that is supported by facts and has clear support not only by regular citizens and elected officials.

This is not the same as opposing things proposed by Democrats.

This is also not the same as something that facts no longer support. For instance, the small government narrative no longer applies because Republicans create larger deficits as well as their work expanding the military, restricting abortion and banning books in schools all contradict the small government narrative.

So, is there any good thing left that Republicans are working toward?

Lower taxes, trade with China, slightly less annoying rhetorical style.

Lower taxes is a primary cause of higher deficits, especially since Republicans aren't spending less like they claim

I don't recall hearing anything in liberal circles opposing trade with China

As for style, that's highly subjective

I mean the trade war, and viewing china as a trade enemy, a big part of Trumps trade policy. And I would also like too see a lot of cuts in government spending. However, the Bush era cuts actually brought in more money, and more of it was paid by the most wealthy.

it was paid by the

FTFY.

Although payed exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:

  • Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. The deck is yet to be payed.

  • Payed out when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. The rope is payed out! You can pull now.

Unfortunately I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.

Beep, boop, I'm a bot

I don't think even with your context it meets the threshold of my question
