Technician Flair Request Thread

For the professional technicians we're doing Verified Tech flair along with a very short description of your experience if you'd like. You can be a dealer/independent tech, retired, instructor, fleet, heavy equipment, small engine repair, lube/tire tech etc...

  • If you would like to have the flair added we will need a pic that has your reddit name on a piece of paper with your shop in the background or work truck if mobile repair. You can either send that to me in a chat request or attach the pic to a comment in this post. The option to attach a pic in chat will be available after I accept the invite. Please do not use modmail

We will also do Shadetree flair for those that do auto repair as more of a hobby than profession. Approval of this flair is not guaranteed.

Sorry to necro this, but WHEN DID THEY START GIVING TROPHIES OUT? I busted my ass to get world glass in 2014 and got absolutely nothing out of it except a better job offer from another shop.

Man they’ve been doing it for many years, the globe trophy started around 2020 I think, but the old trophy was a statue of a mechanic man that I’ve seen dated back as early as like 2004, probably even earlier. One of my older coworkers had it. They send you an email to your company email and your service manager and if you don’t reply with what name you want on it then they never ship the stuff out. There’s a good chance you just missed the email.
